Trent Alexander Arnold | Real Madrid Player

The media hype bullshit in full swing

They do know he’s been injured right? only back from injury recently hasn’t started a game since and didn’t get off the bench at wknd.

Anything to drum up excitement eh. Idiots
Before he was injured he spent a lot of time on the bench.

Should be 'La rata' ffs - shameful lack of noun article agreement.

Actually, no, in the phrase "Adiós, el rata", "la" wouldn't be much better. The correct wording would be "Adiós, rata", no article, as it seems to be in the form of direct speech. Also, if we take "rata" as a nickname, when used about a man "el rata" would be fairly common colloquial language. I had in fact a flatmate at university whose nickname was "rata", and when used in sentences, the nickname would take the masculine article "el", for example: "¿Dónde está el rata?" (Where is el rata?), "El rata canta en un grupo de power metal" (El rata sings in a power metal band) or "El mulet del [de + el] rata es un peinado atemporal" (El rata's mullet is a timeless hairdo).

You uncultured swine, it's a clever reference to an important plot point from the 2022 crime thriller "the batman" which can only mean they're attempting to flood the stadium for tonight's game in hopes of drowning TAA!

Would be pretty great if he bangs in a free kick and celebrates like he's won the World Cup Ballon d'Or.

Contender for most gripping post of the year

I’d actually whip big Eric out if Trent scored the winner in front of the Kop tonight.

Well this told me!

Should be "adios eh eh eh rata"

Jokes aside what's up with them acting like a creepy ex, it's not like he moved on to a direct rival.

Ince went on to play for them and I dont remember him getting anywhere near that much grief from united fans (to be fair he was forced out of the club in a way but still).

It is weird behaviour but nonetheless inkeeping with the entitlement of their fanbase. 'This means more' to play for Liverpool - how could anyone possibly want to leave the club during a period of success? An academy lad who wants a new challenge in a different country once his contract is up is a reality that hurts their fragile egos.

I have a feeling he'll come on at 3-3 and the have a free kick opposite the kop. He smashes it in to make it 3-4 and does a full pitch run Adebayor style towards the kop.

I enjoyed the boos

Like two people you hate, caught in a toxic relationship - long may it continue

I don't really understand the boos. Because he left on a free? If they'd sold him for anything, they'd have just spent money on the next Wirtz or Kerkez - he did them a favour.

They did not get him on a free. They paid a fee.

Real Madrid also spent €10m on him to get him early for the Club World Cup, and they got Frimpong on a ridiculously good deal (although he hasn’t done that much yet, but for a player of his standing at his age). They exploited Leverkusen’s low release fee and that’s fine, but Real Madrid signing him at the end of his contract isn’t for some reason.

Frimpong looks pretty poor.
