40m is too much imo.
That’s €40m or £33.5m which is a fair price for this kid who has elite potential he’s obviously an option instead of Quenda for less money and he’s PL proven at least plus United might look at Roger Fernandes at Braga for £17m so two for one really.
If £50m buys us a back up left footed right wing back and another right clever 10 like Dibling, that would be very good business.

Our attack is lacking composure and experience. The last thing we need is a young raw winger being shoehorned into a position he’s not used to.
He wouldn't be a starter of course, just like Quenda wouldn't have been. Amad can play at RWB or Dalot or Dibling, and then add a more experienced #10 in addition to the striker and that would be a big window. Basically getting in Osimhen, Cunha, Dibling and then ideally a midfielder like Ederson who can compete with Ugarte.

I don't see it with this kid, I don't see what's special about him. He looks exciting at times but goes missing a lot too, if we can get Chido and Heaven for 1m or under I wonder if this guy is worth spending that much on, rather take a gamble on some kids and spend bigger on someone 100% ready to improve the first XI
Yes, he is the type you take a punt on when you have bases covered and have some extra cash to invest in a high potential player.
He has premier league experience, clearly skilful and physical. If you believe, with better players, his output will go up, then it’s worth investing that 40m
For a 19 year old he's got refined dribbling, decent strength and shooting technique. He could easily evolve into Grealish type of player, for discounted price we should get a player like him. Different type to Quenda (and Amad) as well, could compete with Zirkzee Garnacho, upgrade on Dalot offensively too.

I wouldn't say he's entirely proven. He's looked decent but has no output so far. Would you not just sign the cheap guy for 17mn and use the leftover resources for positions that tend to be more expensive like striker and central midfield.
I see the hype - has a real industrious nature but with technical skills and the ability to beat a man. We're not always looking for the next world class talent, just having good, young and dynamic players across the XI is the first step.
From Soton I would prefer to us to go for Fernandes as priority though, great age and I think profile wise is what we really need to partner Ugarte.

I like him but 40m is a steep price for a kid who doesn't necessarily look odds on to be of the level required, I was on the fence a little about Quenda but thought he was a better prospect than Dibling. The only kids i'd be happy to spend a little money on at the moment are Rigg and Bellingham, probably get both for 30/40m combined.
No one really knows yet but developing story, we probably hear more in the summer about this?

It certainly seems to be allowed to progress in a lot quieter fashion, and a lot less high profile media or politican people leaping in on the whole ethics issue and how the club would be selling their soul, etc, than when we were reportedly in negotiations with a similar group.
Very similar (lack of) reaction and reporting to the Newcastle takeover. Very different to the reaction when there was a fear that we'd get a huge injection of cash from wealthy owners from that region.
Think he ends up at Spurs, his Dad is a big Spurs fan as well which helps.

Passing that suffering on is the only enjoyment you get as a Spurs fan.
Him and Cherki are good options, I personally wasn't sold on Quenda haven't seen enough but never thought he's stood out in the few games I've seen of Sporting.

The only reason I liked the idea of signing Quenda is because he’s a traditional winger but Amorim made him use to playing RWB so that gave us another attacking threat. I hope we don’t sign a defensive RWB
I like the look of Dibling but there is no way in blue hell Ineos is spending £33 million on an unproven 19 year old who has only shown glimpses here and there of being a real quality player, especially after hearing Ratcliffes interview on how much we still have to pay out on existing players.
His profile and physical attributes are well suited for Premier League football. Plus, he already has the experience. Could be a good wing back if those were the only considerations. However, I haven't seen anything on the ball to convince me he has what it takes to be a top class wing back in a 3-4-3 system. And he is another young prospect.
I guess I'd take him if the financial package is right. Which means very cheap. But to be honest, he seems entirely like a Tottenham player. I'd look elsewhere first.

I think we probably would pay that actually. Though we wouldn't pay £40-50m.
I just don’t see why this kid is hyped. The dribbling version of Scott McT. I also don’t see what position he’d slot into in our starting XI
Definitely not capable of the level of wingback play defensively. Very good in the pockets of space though, could be an upgrade on our bench options but ineos won’t spend that if it’s just for depth.
