Tyrell Malacia | Manchester United player | Is in the 25/26 squad

Before his injury he looked decent tbh, when you're out of the game for so long at this level then it really leaves you behind

Perhaps some Turkish side would be ready to pay half of his wages. Not sure there's place for him at United now, at LCB (Shaw/Martinez/Heaven/Yoro) nor LB/LWB (Dorgu/Dalot/Shaw/Leon). Especially as we only have league and 1 cup left this season.

You could tell he was cooked after his injury, I can't remember who the opponent was but he got absolutely done for pace on a through ball that led to a goal. You could visually tell he couldn't run as fast as needed anymore and unfortunately his ability isn't anywhere near enough to make up for that.
It was Bodø at home. Zinckernagel has always been quick, but that was embarrassing for Malacia.

I guess we'll till the end of the Turkey/Saudi windows before terminating his contract in the hope that someone comes in for him and is willing to pay him at least 10k/week.

Why don't we terminate contracts and pay them out before time? I mean if we can terminate his contract for less than what he would earn if staying for another 12m it should be in the interest of everyone involved at this stage?

That was the match, thanks for reminding me! It stood out so much, I'm pretty sure that match alone showed his physicality had taken a big hit and he needed to be moved on.

What if he doesn’t agree to it? It’s not like there is high demand for his services from anywhere

I recall him being good on his first start then nothing from there….

Yeah, I remember a decent start but then it was clear and obvious how limited he was. He showed a lot of passion which people liked.

Malacia is one that I feel a bit sorry for. The lad started very brightly and actually looked like there may be a nice ceiling for him at United. With injuries and form issues, it did not work out but I am surprised that nobody has come in for him. Sad when tw*ts like Sancho, Rashford, Garnacho & Antony all get pretty much what they want and this lad is seemingly stuck in a situation that really, suits nobody.

Looked a decent fill in squaddie, then had that couple of year injury and that's a huge thing for anyone to come back from.

He's probably on wages that any team that might take a punt would allocate to a higher quality player, so he might have to stay here for a while then get a loan somewhere lowkey next Jan after a period of fitness in the reserves.

I don’t include him in bomb squad. Let’s reintegrate him and see if he can work a way to find a role.

Solid source but also a poor club financially, probably a loan with most wages covered.

No resentment for this kid, he's rubbish but he was a cheap punt worth giving a try. And he might have even been somewhat useful had he not developed a chronic knee issue, poor lad.

I think if he didn't have the injuries he would be worth around 6-7 millions. Which would have made the transfer ok. Now, he will be remembered just as a terrible transfer.

I really don't understand his fall is this steep. Injury aside I thought he showed some promise when he did play for us. Either psychologically or mentally he must have taken a big step backwards post injury.

He was under the radar when we bought him - very little hype or expectation. Then he gets injured for a long time, so its probably more so a case of no one knowing much about him.

It would have been better for Malacia to have gone to Lyon instead of us.

I often read people saying 'why don't we sign ... before a smaller club got them' but this is a good example why.

People only think about the successful players whilst ignoring the ones that don't work out.

It's incredibly hard for players to make the step up from a smaller league/club to playing in the massive spotlight here.

We are too big to be a testing ground.
The strategy we are pursuing with Cuhna and Mbeumo is the correct one.

The loan to PSV last season was not helpful either. Nobody expected him to be that good in the PL coming off an 18 month injury layoff but reports from the Netherlands were that he looked way off the required standard for the Eredivisie too and that is a much lower standard. It is unfortunate but the injury really does appear to have significantly impacted his ability to perform at the level required in top level football.

Swiss transfer window is open until Monday, at this point we might as well just loan him to Lausanne until January. He can hopefully build up his match fitness there and maybe find a permanent move from that.

Unfortunately probably is his level after being out for that long.

What’s the best standard that he can operate at? Add in his injuries, and his unlikely to be able to hit the ground running and play straight away - and the level of club that might want him can easily find better alternatives at a far lower cost. He literally has no market.

Plus if he hits the ground running, he'll probably get injured again

He was never really good enough, even pre injury, us fans just took to him because he tried really, really hard which was refreshing after the Ragnick 6 month debacle.

Hope he goes somewhere, stays fit and does well. Much like Hojlund, I’ll never have an issue with players that seem like good eggs and have the right attitude on the pitch. If they’re not good enough footballers to play for us, that’s the club’s fault.

Turkey, Greece, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, Belgium, Romania - some of countries with transfer window still open. We need one club from all those countries. Pay half of his wages and there will be club able to afford him on a loan.
