Always pay good wages, but don't pay big transfer fees.I think he meant where are Turkish clubs getting all this money from.

They always are pretty active in the market, they dont pay more than anyone else wage wise, the government just gives huge tax breaks so everyone's net wage is massive. Otherwise they do pretty reasonable transfer fees most of the time.Any reason why turkish clubs have been so active/flush with cash?
Eyüpspor agreed with #mufc for loaning Malacia, waiting for player’s decision.
I also wrote to this guy in dm on Twitter on Monday and he responded that it'll be done soon. Let's hope it's true and Malacia accepts their offer.
Not necessarily. With the tax rate being much lower, he could get his nett pay at United from £40-50k a week there. A full salary, no fee deal like Onana’s would be fine.As a loan presumably? I would assume heavily subsidised?
Even with low taxes he would be one of their, if not highest earners. Even if they take on half of his wages and we cover the other half, that's still better than nothing for us.Not necessarily. His contract expires next summer so even if it's a loan great imo. Pretty sure ewe don't have to get a fee as we're not in risk of breaching PSR rules in his case as he signed for 15m in 2022.As a loan presumably? I would assume heavily subsidised?
Totally agree. Get Malacia deal over the line and arguably we got rid of every player we wanted this summer which I was sceptic we could do. Of course next summer we'll have to get permanent deals for Onana, Rashford but it's looking better than before.Even with low taxes he would be one of their, if not highest earners. Even if they take on half of his wages and we cover the other half, that's still better than nothing for us.
I agree, but if they’re not paying a loan fee and obviously there’s no amortisation, the extra should hopefully be there to kick into wages. Even if it’s not 100%, I imagine it’ll be more than 50%.Even with low taxes he would be one of their, if not highest earners. If he hasn’t got anything else immediately lined up, I would find this stupid from him if true.
I assume it would be a subsidised loan so he wouldn’t be out of pocket, so he’s basically turning down the chance to get some badly needed competitive games and to put himself in the shop window as a free agent next summer.
Think he’s in for a rude awakening next summer getting someone to take him after two knees ops and if he’s barely played a game for three years.
Who knows. That would be a shame if it came to that.Retirement beckons?
What a dumb tweet, he's speculating without really knowing, or if he knows more then he should share it instead of attacking the player like that.Oh shut up Crook you bellend. There could be other reasons.
They don’t use the same agency though.Their window closes today. Looks like he's not going anywhere. ETH really shoved Alvaro out to spend £15m on this guy and hand him wages of £3.5m a year, all because of him using the same agency. What an utter scum bag.
Then this transfer makes even less sense then. What a monumental waste of money. They don’t use the same agency though.

It made plenty of sense at the time, we needed an understudy/competition for Shaw at left back, given his injury history. A relatively cheap punt from the Eredivisie fits that profile, and he performed passably well in the 1st half of 22/23 in that role. Then this transfer makes even less sense then. What a monumental waste of money.
Real Madrid agree with you. This should be on his tombstone: A poor judge of talent.
I thought Alvaro looked more talented than Ganarcho.
Real Madrid agree with you.
Wonder where ETH ends up next?
He would still get paid the same. Gives him a chance to play, and surely put himself in a better position next summer to get a permanent club. Not sure this really makes sense as I can't imagine we'd be expecting him to take a pay cut if he went, we'd cover whatever they wouldn't

Like you say though, take whatever we can get. There’s absolutely no point hanging on to him when he’s just never going to play.
After his stint with PSV I am not sure any clubs in Holland would be that interested. The reports of his appearances there were pretty scathing.Looking at the team he's been linked with I'm not surprised he doesn't want the move. Their stadium resembles something from the Northern Premiership. Fc United have a better stadium, they can't surely expect him to accept a move there.
If I were him I'd sit it out until January and push for a move back to Holland.
Beggars can't be choosers, his alternative is literally to load up the PS5 for the winter and considering he hasn't played football for 2 years he may kiss his career goodbye in that case.Looking at the team he's been linked with I'm not surprised he doesn't want the move. Interesting....

It was always likely that we'd get lumbered with at least one of the players we were looking to offload. Malacia being the only one still here is one of the best scenarios.
I can't see him getting (m)any minutes, or making much of a positive impact if he does. But more significantly, he's not on great wages (by our standards - too high for the level of clubs he'd likely join), and he's not likely to be a negative influence around the club - and not high profile enough to create constant media gossip like Rashford or Sancho.
Malacia hanging around until we address the situation in January or the summer isn't likely to make much of a difference either way.
Amorim did that prior to his loan to PSV last season, I think so far as Malacia is concerned his mind is made up. I know he said he would integrate any players still here when the window closed but I will honestly be amazed if Malacia makes an appearance before the next window.I actually think he may get a cameo or two for Amorim to see if he can be used throughout the season. LWB is by far our weakest position imo, so I can see a variety of players other than Dorgu tested there to see which one works.
Yeah, that's a good point about LWB. We definitely don't have many established options there so, yeah, maybe he will get some minutes there if no one nails down the role.I actually think he may get a cameo or two for Amorim to see if he can be used throughout the season.
