Wheatley heads home Berry’s brilliant cross. All United so far.

It’d be great if McAllister would some day get to make a first team debut as he’s a huge United fan who’s often at the away end in our away games.

Berry and Mather have a lot of similarities. Both very composed in possession, very good close control and a nice versatile passing range. Decent end product too.

also a very clever player
He is. Done well this season and he’s only 16. He can also help out as a CB or RB. Expecting him to be more dominant next season. Him & Jayce Fitzgerald is a very good midfield base.

Nolan almost dribbles all the way through but the last defender gets a touch before the finish.

Williams close to 0-2 seconds later.

0-2! Williams finds Kamason in the box who hammers it home with a powerful volley.

Very good 40 minutes from United.

Wonder when MUTV get a similar memo as they did with Shoretire when it comes to the pronounciation of Ogunneye name.

Horrible start as Everton get one back straight away. A similar mistake from Harrison to the one he did the last time out. He needs to work on his decision-making and I’m sure he will. Very good raw potential but has that mistake in him, as most young goalkeepers.

Lacey almost scores an ”Antony” to make it 1-3 straight after.

Wheatley with a strong run gets his shot saved by the Everton keeper who then does brilliantly to direct Fitzgerald’s rebound to the crossbar.

Musa on for McAllister. Scanlon probably moves deeper. Musa LW, Williams AM.

All United again for the last 20 minutes or so. We’ve had some decent chances to kill the game. Although it’s never done in U18s to be fair.

It’s interesting to see opponents standing off when Lacey gets the ball. No-one seems to want to close him down when they know it’s very likely he’ll just glide past them.

Shea Lacey’s been very good after coming on. Such a good dribbler. Everyone knows he’ll go to his left side 95% of times, but he still manages to gets his foot free in small spaces. Uses his body so well.

FT 2-2

Everton equalise in the 96th minute.

A very dominant performance to end the season with, too bad we couldn’t hold on to the win.

Fitzgerald, Nolan and Berry stood out for me. Lacey made a big impact too in the second half.

A bit of a sucker-punch really as this time we controlled the game really well. Everton didn’t have much of the ball in the last half an hour.

An enjoyable game and we should have won it.

Just in keeping with the frustrating end to the season at all levels, where we seem to be conceding a lot more crucial injury time goals than we're scoring. And another throwing away of a 2-0 HT lead, a la Sevilla (which also included an injury time goal as well) and Spurs.

Aye that was one of our best performances in the latter parts of the season. I was impressed in our game management and after they got the 1-2 goal we controlled the game very well. Should've been able to score that 1-3 so I'd say that came back to haunt us much more than our defending, which was quite solid today.

Yeah, much as conceding the equaliser was a bit of a sickener, that last half hour of total control is what will stick with me from that game. Really impressive.
