I hope that Laird and Devine are back. It's very boring when we don't have proper full-backs or strikers. Don't know what Liverpool's starting eleven will look like but I guess it will be a tough game.

Would not surprise me if Mengi and Axel put in an appearance tonight.
yeah would like to see that, important for them to get as ready as possible, maybe one of them could play in league cup game midweek.

Doubtful, didn’t Ole just say Axel hasn’t even returned to team training yet?

Mengi also didn’t featured in U23s last time, I’m pretty sure we’re keeping the two groups separate for now so we won’t see much going up and down.

Ole said he'll be available after the next international break. So mid October.

Yea, that’s over 3 weeks away. He also said “he’s getting closer to training with the team” which means he hasn’t even returned to team training yet. He’s not going to be playing tonight when he hasn’t even been deemed ready to join full training.

Subs: Neville, Carney, Hugill, Ercolani, Stanley.
Svidersky at left back again...hopefully he does fine.

I'm also wondering if Liam Millar's playing on the right side or up front.

Both Devine and Laird are missing. Laird has terrible luck with injuries

Excited to see how Shola does tonight at this level. Still only 16. Cracking footballer who I feel has a real chance here.

We know what Liverpool want to do it - and still we try to overplay out from the back. I know it's about learning - but doing exactly what the opponents want is hardly learning.
