Kovar, Warren, Tanner, Poole, Williams, Whelan, Hamilton, Buffonge, Chong, Bohui, Dearnley

Subs: Woolston, O'Connor, Ercolani, Garner, Baars

Missing: Callum Gribbin, Angel Gomes, Sang, Dunne, Barlow, Burkart

Max Johnstone in goal for Sunderland. Released in the summer, having barely played for us.

Apparently Olosunde is back in Manchester having been in the US recovering from injury.

1-0 Chong

Sunderland bottom of the table and a much younger team than United. 6 of our team have turned 20, compared to two for Sunderland.

DJ Buffonge chance, hit the post

Tanner sent off - poor defending, and they are sayings its harsh - but its correct in my opinion. He was the last man - sure it was an accident but he clipped his heels.

Goal scoring opportunity or no? Last man isn't always a red card.

2-0 United at the start of the second half. DJ Buffonge with a shot that Max Johnstone should have saved, but he just pushed it into the sidenetting. Sunderland are creating absolutely nothing - even with one man more.

United look a lot more solid after the subs at half-time. O'Connor and Garner on for Warren and Dearnley

United are destroying Sunderland now. 3-0 Chong.

Sunderland are giving the ball away over and over again.

Red card was a nonsense, if it had been in the box the ref would have given a penalty but only give Tanner a yellow card, it's a stupid rule, it's not as though it was a professional foul or he tried to trip the guy up, it's just one of those thing that happen. Free kick, give him a yellow and a warning, then play on

Great to see one of my favourites from the 18s a couple of years ago Callum Whelan getting into the groove at this level, he just keeps things ticking over with a minimum of fuss.

Sunderland have now conceded 19 goals in their last 4 away games, it's easy to see why.
