I thought both Tuanzebe and TFM were shaky. They really need to work on their heading. They had som very difficulties against Stoke U23 in the air. James Garner and Angel Gomes were brilliant. Chong was good too. Thought McGee did a good job at left-back. Very good performances in the first half and slightly less so in the second half. We had trouble at set-pieces but a good win in the end.

It is Tuanzebe's first game in a while, almost a year for TFM. They aren't going too be at it straight away.

Could Rashford, Martial and Williams still play in this team?
Martial would be overage but Henderson, Dalot, Wan-Bissaka, Williams, McTominay, Pereira, Rashford, Greenwood, James would all be underage

His decision making was quite poor today.. Of course it was his first game back but still not the best performance..

He needs to work on his heading ability in the long run..

I do not get to see the reserve games since I stopped getting MUTV but I have a question for those who are regular watchers;
What is Garner’s best position?
I thought he was supposed to be a Carrick clone but he seems to score quite a few goals so I imagine he must be a bit more attack minded.

Watched only first half, ref was very poor. Stoke were unlucky not to get 2 goals, called offside twice when they were onside (didn't check first one properly btw). Also we should have had at least 2 penalties.

Garner has been so impressive when it comes to goal and assists. Thought Tuanzebe was average, same with Fosu Mensah too. They are back from injury so maybe rusty. Need game time to gain the sharpness.

We won 2-3.. Though West Ham also won so we are still 3 points behind with a game in hand
Yeah but we have a lot of "Easy" matches left - including Sunderland who probably are the worst side ever at this Level. So it might be possible to catch West Ham still

Up until this season Garner played most games as a 6 but this season Levitt has dropped into a deep playmaker role which he played in the u18s when Garner moved up while Garner has been playing as a box to box midfielder. Both players doing well in their new roles & good for their long term careers that they can play as all round midfielders rather than specialised roles.
