It's funny, and I know it was only Sunderland, but Luca Ercolani looked far more comfortable playing for the 23s today than he has the few times i've seen him play for the 18s.

Seems like Chelsea, Spurs and City are not doing much better, in fairness, and they're supposed to have some of the best academies in England. U23 is just a weird level.At Eppleton CW

They have lots out on loan. City have Girona in La Liga now and Chelsea have Vitesse in Holland. The U23 league is not fit for purpose so it is best to circumvent it.
So why have we not been doing this?
Some of our players playing abroad would be great instead of this farce
I totally agree that we should have a feeder club in a decent league. City can offer young players a promise of a season in La Liga for development now. It will aid them big time.
