Mejbri puts United ahead inside the first 10 minutes of the game

a couple of touches inside the penalty box then passes it in with the outside of his foot into the bottom corner

Really bright start by the boys and Mejbri puts United ahead 1-0. Well worked by the lads and Puigmal in particular with the assist.

Puigmal has the makings of a quality player, it's a shame in my opinion that he's been shunted all around the pitch since joining.

Agreed, physically seems slightly lacking though.

terrible play between brighton's goalie and defender

Elanga robs the keeper... ball richochets to Shoretire who taps it in from a few yard of yards

2-0

Shoretire must be incredibly rated by the coaching staff, becoming a bit of an U23 regular already.

I agree with that. Not so sure it would be as much of an issue for him centrally as it can be at times for him out wide.

Yeah, I think he'd be much better centrally as well. Doing a decent job there still though.

Cracking goal from Fernandez. Took him a few moments to decide to smash it in but brilliant goal from just outside the box

Great goal from Fernandes. Was making a run and was patient waiting for a passing option, and it opened up for him so he took the shot.

Fernandez couldn't have asked for a better start to his United career.

Indicative of the match, all the time you want on the ball amd miles of space open through the middle.

A poor quality match for me. Slow and all the space you could ask for. Molumby walks around like he doesn’t even want to be there.

Brilliant attack. Hannibal puts in Puigmal who slots in cooly. 5-2.

Fernandez also scored for U-18 with his right on his debut.
Seems like he's very comfortable with his weak foot.

Galbraith and Puigmal were standouts.
But yes, it was an easy game except the first 10 mins of the second half.

If Shaw and Telles gets injured again, Fernandez should be involve with First team.

Hannibal looks great at u23 even when he was one of the youngest player on pitch.

Puigmal is weird case. Some day like today he looks too good for u23 level and some days looks he still need to develop more.

Puigmal should sign new deal and leave on loan to where he can play.

Do you think he should stick to playing at RB or right wing-back, or should he try to be a CM in the long term?
