Draw for next round.

Bayern v Dinamo Zagreb
Ajax v Atlético
Atalanta v Lyon
Inter v Rennes
Salzburg v Derby County
Benfica v Liverpool
Crvena zvezda v Midtjylland
Juventus v Real Madrid

Annoying draw, two worst teams got each other in Red star Mid. Salz and Derby playing each other is a big shame as is Ajax Atletico. 4 strong sides. Should be good games though at least.

2 games on today, was meant to be 4 but Atalanta and Inter both postponed due to Corona Virus. Rescheduled for next week along with Juve Madrid.

Liverpool missing a few today with the FA Cup game but Elliot travelled. Bit of a shame that they're not full strength but realistically a couple of them are too good for this comp now.

Serious questions need to be asked to whoever scouted and signed Van den berg for Liverpool. He is abysmal.

Van den Berg is one of the AI you can get on your team on Pro Clubs, seems like he gained sentience and left the game.

He's been abysmal 2 times out of three I've seen him. Not just bad, but abysmal. Shrewsbury replay he just about redeemed himself but... it was Shrewsbury.

In a high line defence what idiot thought a snail would ever work even if his reading of the game was sensational? Must be an intern scout that will be released soon.

Benfica have just defeated Ajax 3-0 in the first semi final and will meet either RB Salzburg or Real Madrid in the final.

The Madrid V Salzburg game will kick off at 6pm CET. That's 5pm for us UK folk for anyone's that's interested.

Benfica has looked like the best team in this tournament since the groupstages,Real Madrid have been very impressive since the re-start and Salzburg has the advantage of basically fielding a reserve team more so than an u19 one given how experienced their players are.

It's anyone to take from there I think.

I noticed Umaro Embalo playing for Benfica today. I had been wondering what happened to him from when they were trying to fleece 50m from any mug who would fall for it a couple of years ago.

Salzburg Madrid should be a high scoring game, neither can defend. Adeyemi is one to watch for Salzburg, he will probably break into the first team this season. Games on BT.

Real shame that Ajax didn't care about the competition, sent their reserve squad for these games. They would probably win it if Taylor, Brobbey and Unuvar + a few others travelled. Not sure why they weren't that fussed given their record in the competition is really poor given the standard of their youth academy.

I've been so disappointed with Salzburg so far. Nervy passing, poor movement and struggled to settle. If Real score next this could turn in to a battering.

It's not that Ajax weren't fussed. It's just that the best players (Rensch, Taylor, Unuvar) of last season's U19 (that qualified for this stage of the tournament) are all with the first team in Austria doing preseason, which is far more helpful for their season and chances at breaking though, as well as a (probably) experience/opportunity they themselves value more. The only one of that core of the side who was left behind was Hansen (possibly (speculatively) because of indications he won't extend/is on his way out, possibly just because his position in the first team squad is more deeply occupied than some of the others)

Third final lost for Benfica. Real Madrid under Raul won their first title. 3:2.

Madrid is pretty good at getting their ex-players into managing in the lower levels of their club. Raul is the latest in that conveyor belt.
