I'm surprised, @Rood, that you think we can or will go into the season without another purchase in midfield.

Three players for two spots just isn't enough, even more so when two of them are so young.

Sure, Bruno can play there but we absolutely do not want to move him from his position. Mount is not really proven in that position and we can't rely on him anyway, and the likes of the Fletchers and other youngsters are nice to have, but they can't be fourth choice at this stage of their career for a club playing in the CL.

We absolutely need that extra player, though I'm sure it won't be easy to find someone who has the profile we require the most.

If we can get a big name and the budget is there then fair enough, otherwise I'd question if we need a 4th choice midfielder ahead of a fullback upgrade and we could still do with another striker too. Although Cunha did better than expected upfront for Brazil at this WC and we are well covered in wide areas if Rashford stays.
