I had the pleasure of chatting to Pat Burns from the Manchester Munich Memorial Foundation about the formation and aims of the foundation.
A great story about a group of MUFC fans working to keep a lasting legacy from the darkest day in Man Utd's history - do check out their website to learn more https://mmmf.co.uk/
Includes a clip of Pete Martin singing The Flowers of Manchester at Old Trafford.

Fantastic episode Nik, loved that and the enthusiasm of Pat and those at the charity is heart warming. Important links to the families of the Babes and United.
The links between Bayern and United have always seemed quite close due to the history of our two clubs.
Touching.

Cheers lads - was fun to do something a bit different

Interested to hear feedback from listeners if they'd like to hear more of this kind of thing or prefer to stick to the usual match analysis ?

Well done Nik, great pod. It's so great Bayern Munich make the effort they do too, showing real class.

Yes the city of Munich and Bayern in particular have played their part over the years, eventhough football wise they had no connection to the original tradegy. Hopefully I can make the pilgrimage to Manchesterplatz one day.

nice that the MMMF are also linking back to Belgrade for community work:
