United Kits 26/27

Is there a single fan out there that actually likes centered badges?

It just looks so stupid.
90% of the time it doesn't come off but I loved these

Seems like we’re due to re-released the 90/92 snowflake top next month, so might have to cop that

Been waiting on a home re-release for a while but they’re all just away tops

I liked England's 2021 Euros kit

97/98 United kit too

The home was pretty shit (especially as it had weird chequed sleeves and the collar was grey for some reason and very limp) but the long sleeved white away looked quite nice

Would love for us to find a way to use the snowflake design our home kit. I have three different United adidas jackets with the snowflake theme, I love it!

Oh you poor thing, they should let you tape a pillow to your chest so you don't accidentally pulverise your rib cage.

The first time I can recall seeing our badge in the centre of a shirt and how cool it still looks today, we have to have adidas make a shirt based off this in the near future.

Looks great on that. But that's because they didn't stack the Adidas logo on top of the club crest and have a double-height sponsor with an emblem bigger than the crest.

If I remember correctly, the Adidas logo was on the sleeves and much smaller than it is now.

am i the only one who hates the light blue snowflake kit?

hated it in 1992, hated the remake in 2022

reminds me of losing to them in Anfield and isn't a good colour scheme, anyway. not United colours.

okay, I suppose we won the league cup in it (go on Choccy)

adidas have been re-releasing a lot of their old dirge and it's sent the fanbase cock-a-hoop. even this lauded blue kit is a nod to a mediocre adidas 80s number.

nostalgia really isn't a good look for us, not at the moment

Why would you create an account on here and criticise how long others have been on?
You’re on here too for feck sake. Doesn’t matter if it’s for an hour or a minute a day. You’ve still made the effort to come on?

didnt like the shellsuit shorts. Does remind me of Lee Sharpe hat trick at Highbury though

I've always loved it. I remember it polarised opinions at the time, but most people seemed to like it.

Nah, I hated it in 92, but I've grown to appreciate it since. Trouble with it is that from a distance it's sky blue.

This is probably the closest one to looking good, but it would have still looked better with normal badge placement.

The problem is that with the Nike logo on one side and the badge in the middle, everything still looks imbalanced. If there were something else across from the Nike logo, it would have looked better.

The problem is the advert in the shirt. It has a logo which is of similar shape to the creat and its position mirrors it. Same with the new third kit.

Likely deliberate.

The best advert we've had is Sharp (I'd rather we never had one) but that's because it was just text. Even chevrolet would have looked better sans logo.

Won't help many here but might help some - got my Stone Roses jacket at 50% off for $60 at the Adidas employee store in Portland, Oregon (open to the public, just need to register for free on the Adidas app).

I've loved so many of United's blue kits over the years but I've often wondered why we so often use the colours of our local rivals?!

I know we won the EC in 68 in blue, is it because of that?

And City have often had red/black away kits, I think it was because Malcolm Allison was an admirer of AC Milan in the 60s and it's been recreated often since then.

It's weird, you'd never see Liverpool in blue or Everton in red, it seems a quirk of Mancunian football!

We wear a different shade of blue to City, these days City and Chelsea play each other in their home kits.

A few of our blue kits have skirted close to sky blue though. The snowflake one from the early 90s and the one from 2021/22 I think. From afar, they could easily pass for sky blue.

Doesn't particularly bother me, I just think it's an unusual quirk, especially with City often wearing red & black too.
