Good podcast lads.

You talked about ''is this the level of performances'', honestly right now I think that this is their standard. I think they made progress on Ruben's system - all that work is now for nothing and I don't see how they are going to drag themselves out of this rut their in. Unfortunately, the season is over and I'd imagine the players mindset is just that. Shouldn't be the case but not enough of these players have the right mentality.

Cheers.

On reflection, yes with players missing it probably is, you're right. Can only hope some of the lads missing with AFCON & injury can rally them round. But there is issues I don't see being ironed out until we have another big shift in personnel which won't happen for 6 months at least. It's gonna be a slog until the end I fear.

Attacking wise there is progress - it's the defence that Amorim couldn't sort out

Season is far from over though - CL qualification should be the aim

I think that's where good leaders come in. If the leaders on the team rally the players up then CL qualification is possible. If there's no true leaders then the club needs to make decisions IMO.

It shouldn't be over and I hope the players have the mentality to drive on. Sadly I don't see it but hope I'm wrong.

No I agree with you. I think it's over and I'll be pleasantly surprised if the team make a fight of CL qualification.
Yup, hopefully they don't feel defeated. A big win tomorrow could bring their spirits back up. However, the mentality should be there already! Hopefully it will be.
