Well it was obvious to me that it wasn’t permanent.

Sometimes the form of a team gets mistaken for the ability of a player.

A lot of Brighton players are having this now. Let’s see how they develop.
Fair enough but it was also not a sure thing that Rice would develop as he has. It's all a bit Captain Hindsight.

For me it was obvious ever since England reached the Euro Finals. It was mostly because of Rice’s performances that happened. He was the difference and is what gave England a shape of a top team,

Back then he was young as well

Veratti called Rice England’s best midfielder before or after the final.

Then afterwards in another match said Rice will play for a top side and he is great because he doesn’t give up.

Just don't get it with him - pick up JWP on the cheap and focus on a striker.

If we are going to spend big on a CM, go for Bellingham or De Jong etc. Rice is just another overpriced English player who is good but not great.

Hopefully he signs for one of our rivals soon, so they're stuck with him, and we never have to hear him linked with us again.

He’s certainly an interesting option. I’m not sure he’s worth as much as quoted but 60-70 in todays market is probably about right but he’s not the kind of player ideally I’d target for now. He’d probably a perfect long term replacement for say Cas but I’d rather have someone better at controlling and passing from the back. A Carrick or DeJong style player.

Interesting option for him. Who drops out for Bayern if he goes there?
Bayern needs a 6 behind Kimmich. Therefore Goretzka would be dropped.
Bayern will also pay up and probably know what few is being asked.

I do not see much ambition in playing every weekend in a league for the team that has to be the shortest priced to win it in all the top leagues in Europe.
Guaranteed Champs league is a given but the Premier League is where it is all at at the moment.
Bayern are one of the biggest clubs in the world, on par with Utd, Liverpool, Madrid, Barcelona.

Besides they nearly always make the last 4 of champions league.

Bayern would be quite funny considering all the people in here turning their nose up to him, calling the club Brexit FC and what more.

Rice now Mount is coming?
Wouldn't make sense. Bruno and Casemiro will take up two starting spots in our midfield next season. We need a player to replace Eriksen. As it stands, it seems Mount is that player. If we were to get Rice, too, it would mean spending a massive amount on a rotational player.

If we get Mount, then we could do with a more defensive player, who can play as a 6 and 8.

Very unlikely id say. Mount will be the midfield addition and i presume rabiot will be the freebie addition. Frees up money for the two strikers ETH wants.
Yeah I could get on board with that, yes I know we would still lack that playmaker but feel Rabiot is capable of covering Casa when necessary

He will join Arsenal bar Mount joining us and somehow persuading him to reunite here
Liverpool had been favourites to sign Mount a month ago and now he seems destined for us. Wouldn't put too much stock in Arsenal leading the race at this stage. Once reports emerge that we have made a move, then Arsenal leading will hold more value.

So you think Mount could play a part then

If we could somehow get Rice for 50-60 million plus Maguire, Fred or McTominay going the other way I think that would be a great deal for us.

Yes Rice would be expensive and probably overpriced but he is also 24 years old and could give us 10 years of service plus would help us to get rid of some of our deadwood at the same time.

McTominay would be the preferred choice. Also avoids him going to Newcastle. We could also do we sending them a player or two on loan to sweeten the pot.
You'd think McTominay would prefer the move to Newcastle. Howe has had a long standing interest and CL football to appeal.

Maguire might also feel he can do better than West Ham and get a move to Spurs instead.

Both could be an option but would think it's unlikely unless Moyes is desperate for either one and West Ham are the only serious interested club.

One of the biggest European teams liking Declan Rice. But sure he’s a nothing player that only looks good in an average West Ham team etc
Amirite?

£90m is utterly bonkers.
Yeah if they’re willing to pay that then he’s theirs

I find it weird they aren’t following up on their interest in… (excuse my spelling please) Conceido

He wanted to go there in January and I think he’s a better player

Rice for Maguire and £20 million.

Seems a bargain for West Ham - they'd be getting the England Captain.

Mad. Tuchel at Bayern for a season would be a dream for him.

A decent agent inserting a sensible buy out clause would be healthy too.
If you mean Bayern: they don’t accept buyout clauses in their player‘s contracts
