United u18 - Sunderland

Heath, Overy (C), Emsden-James, McCormack, Plunkett, McEvoy, Shah, Douka Nkoto, Camacho, Ajayi, Bradbury

Subs: Z. Watson, O’Brien, Helafu, Gaz Ibragimov, Brown

We have a goalkeeping problem - Heath spends too much time on the ball - then panics and toepokes it straight to a Sunderland-defender who hammers it into the net. That was really bad goalkeeping.

1-1 Bradbury I think - brilliant corner from McAvoy and Bradbury flicks it in at the near post

Nkoto with his hand in the face of a Sunderland-player - Penalty. Clumsy. Heath continues his awful penalty record - and he isn't even close this time either. 2-1 Sunderland. When you see the replay of the incident - what is Nkoto doing ? The player is not in a dangerous position and Nkoto just sticks his hand up at the striker.

unlucky that we had to rotate our side so much due to 120 mins, but it is what it is.

Heath saves when a Sunderland-player is through on goal. Important to avoid 3-1 in the 45th minute

Bradbury almost with a late equalizer - lobs the goalkeeper from far away from goal - but misses the goal. 2-1 Half-time

Looks like JJ missed this and trained with ist team today.

Brown played through and the keeper brings him down in the 92nd minute

I thought we played very poorly today. Held lots of the ball but the attack was non- existence. Nkoto was anonymous (except for conceding the penalty), Bradbury received no help whatsoever and Ajayi was also poor. It was obvious that he'll miss the penalty.
It never helps when two really silly mistakes cost you goals. Sunderland also hit the post three times and Heath had a brilliant save. All in all the score today doesn't lie..

Why are people always explaining things I already know? They haven't been okay, they were poor and gifted two goals.
How do we know what you already know ? And if you make a comment - do you expect that to be the truth, and noone is allowed to say anything else ?

Because it's stupid and undermining. It's like saying Mbeumo is left footed when someone says that it was a poor shot. Of course everyone who watches U18 knows that Gabriel, Thwaites, Obi, Kukonki are first choices. Such a stupid remark as I was right when I wrote that they were poor.
