I went to Wiki to look up if Michigan has the death penalty. Turns out they have it specifically for "treason against Michigan". I'm certain all pro death penalty people all over the US will agree that if ever there was a time and place for the death penalty it is here and now.

Articles like this are problematic and don't help anything.
The reason is because this silly author instantly leaps to stupid conspiracy theory themselves which makes them lose complete reliability. There is a troubling lack of calling out what's going on but its not because the "Democrats and corporate media" are in some conspiracy to cover it up. It's because they are weak and self-interested.
Some things are troubling because they are a troubling trend not because there is some vast conspiracy by the Democrats to "cover-up Trump's role". This type of article is exactly why the left and liberals are losing the messaging. Because instead of calling things out for what they are, they fall into ridiculous conspiracy theories that don't make sense either.
And uncompromising socialism isn't the answer either. This is the problem with the left currently
