Personally, it would be more conspicuous and politically harmful to move it back at this point, especially since Biden is brand new on the job and probably doesn't want to immediately get into a political squabble about something far away when he's got far more important COVID and economic related things to worry about at home.
This is the most likely reasoning.

It should have been 2K per month for the last year.
Yes, but for the Rs, its going to turn into an arms race of how to reduce as much as possible. Haley is probably going to do a Cruz/Hawley by attempting to position herself as a hybrid between Trumpism and traditional conservatism, to get the benefit of support from both factions.

Insane this ignorant asshat is going to try to claw her way back into the republican political fold. Even more insane that millions of mental deficients in this country will support her.

This twat’s voice is the human equivalent of nails on the chalkboard.

It'll be interesting to see if they succeed. Could turn the US into a three party system of sorts. That'll probably be to the benefit of everyone.
It won't really work unless they also move towards proportional representation. Otherwise you can easily end up in a situation where 60 % of the votes cast doesn't count for anything.

But I guess it just might split the traditional GOP vote enough to favor the Dems in certain parts of the country? Or will people likely just ignore these guys?

Not really. If it is attempted sincerely then the GOP will split in two and represent both sides of the party. The two sides that have been pretending to be one side for years. The Dems have the same problem although there's not as radical a divide between the far left and the centrist Dems.

The hard far right Republicans will keep the GOP and Republican name because that's the where the current sitting politicians have pinned their colours, while the centre right will create the new party.

It has many possibilities, but I feel we are watching the Republicans eat each other alive and possibly be witnessing the end of their once great party.

All said and done, they’re all self serving and power hungry. The two parties would never compete against each other, it will just be a case of kiss the ring or I’ll put a candidate forward to split the vote and Trump will continue to rule from the outside as muscle memory puts ticks next to Rs.

Somewhere Tulsi Gabbard is raging that her spirit Republican beat her to it.
Yeah Tulsi messed up big time. She was a rising star in the Dem party a few years ago but then opted to get into pointless fights with party leadership, which has since left her a political refugee scrounging for airtime on Rogan and Fox.

Haley and DeSantis seem to be the rising stars at the moment, especially after Hawley and Cruz have imploded after Jan 6th.
DeSantis is far from the politician that Haley is. That fire hydrant is locked on the teat of Trump & has no inkling of stopping his suckling.

Planned legislation to establish new business areas in Nevada would allow technology companies to effectively form separate local governments.

Democratic Gov. Steve Sisolak announced a plan to launch so-called Innovation Zones in Nevada to jumpstart the state’s economy by attracting technology firms, Las Vegas Review-Journal reported Wednesday.

The zones would permit companies with large areas of land to form governments carrying the same authority as counties, including the ability to impose taxes, form school districts and courts and provide government services.

A closed grid must have constant balance between supply and demand to deliver electricity with the right quality and frequency. I guess especially so if the transmission infrastructure is outdated. Wrong energy mix or just not enough capacity.
