Muric at Ipswich. 15.3% of crosses 99 percentile

Alison is just 4.6% of crosses. But if you have VVD in front of you he'll take care of most of the crosses

Sometimes it's a double edged sword too I suppose.

Just looking through the Premier League based ones, top 5 are Muric, Raya, Sanchez, Pope and Martinez who are pretty much top of all the big European leagues too.

Muric and Sanchez have also made the most errors leading to goals in the Premier League, tied with Verbruggen. They try collect crosses so often that it can lead to mistakes, or sometimes they might try and deal with a cross that they realistically can't.

If they cut down on the number of crosses they try to deal with they don't make those specific errors, but at the same time they might let in a few different goals through not being as pro-active in general. Obviously the best scenario is to be very pro active and not make errors like Raya, but not everyone can be him and there's often a balance to be found.

Football is full of that kind of risk vs reward thing isn't it? Ball retention in midfield but less creativity vs having someone like Bruno, to play out from the back or not, to attempt to dribble past a player or not.

The crosses stopped % statistics equate to around 1 per game or less on average. Pretty irrelevant stat.

From the YouTube footage that I have seen of him, he often makes the same basic error that Onana does, makes a save and pushes the ball back towards the penalty spot..?!?
It's schoolboy stuff..!!
