Any manager, but let's fecking stick to the plan this time of keeping it a temporary appointment, whilst at the same time appointing a DoF and looking for a good long term candidate.

We really fecked up offering the contract to Ole. He was always just meant to be a temporary manager to bring the feel-good factor back until the end of the season.

Allegri or Blanc. Blanc I think reportedly wanted the job full time, which is why we didn't sign him as caretaker when Jose was manager (irony!). We may need to offer a perm deal to bring in someone of actual pedigree as no one with a big club rep will bother coming midway to steady a ship.

Wenger as short term. He has shown he can manage under the current type.of structure.

No point bringing in some like Poch. He has never worked without a DoF, head of recruitment/call it whatever you will.

Poch's most successful periods have been working with Paul Mitchell at Southampton and Tottenham. If you look at when Mitchell left Spurs, coincides with the last half decent players Sours brought in. You bring in Poch, you have to bring in Mitchell too!

That doesn't negate his point as Allegri is available. Though we can hire an interim manager and start negotiating with Poch too so we can hire him by Jan.

Dont kid yourselfs, there is no such thing as caretaker manager with those cnuts in charge. We will get someone, that someone might string 15 wins, fan base will be hyped and clowns will turn that guy into perma manager without thinking further than reach of their nose.

I also agree Wenger, with him being appointed DOF at end of season, which might work out well. At least we would play the right way. Pave the way to bring in Poch in the summer.

Can’t get on board with the Wenger idea, he’s an Arsenal man so it seems wrong him being here, for both us and Arsenal.

Wenger is great and I really like him, would he come to United on an interim basis though?

Who the hell is suggesting this? I'd just stop supporting us if that happened.
Funny thing is, out of all of managers, only under LvG we played how he wanted more or less, regardless of that football being shit or not.

This is not a manager issue, this is a bang average squad of players. The sooner we acknowledge this the sooner we can address the core problems here. There are championship sides who wouldn't play Young, Fred, Dalot, Andreas. And even our so called top players, they aint cutting it. Tammy Abraham currently looks three times the player that Rashford is. We are finishing games without a shot on target. It's a mess.

Sack Ole and appoint Ole as caretaker manager. Sure there isn't a better caretaker manager available than him and he might release the shackles on the players and himself from playing attacking football?

I’d like us to think outside the box if we’re going for a caretaker again

Ron Atkinson. We have a 100% success rate replacing him successfully

Big Sam.

Has a good track record of keeping teams up.
He would make us better defensively and he would make us far more dangerous offensively just from set pieces alone, he would struggle to make us worse from open play than we are now.

Not my first choice as a caretaker but would have him here in a heartbeat.

Wenger please. If we hire someone more defensive minded, then we know the fear of relegation is real.

You have to look at the squad and think who would be best suited to it, just like we should have done when we sacked previous manager instead of hiring someone with a completely different outlook as to how he wants to play and his type of player preferences which meant a new rebuild everytime.

I'm actually warming up to the Blanc idea. At least he managed at top level before but sure as hell shouldn't be the permanent manager. Get him for the rest of the season and get Poch in summer. Of course if Poch becomes available in Jan we should tie him up before Madrid step in, even if we agree a contract starting with summer like what City did with Pep.

Would love Wenger. We are so lacking in attacking structure it’s a joke.

Big Sam? They would have to enlarge the canteen. I would love to see him at United if only for the entertainment factor. Not on the pitch but his press conferences.

Pints of Pinot all round....Big Sam is a lark but oddly, he is more of a thinker than I suspect he gets credit. One real chance for him with a big club? ....well, now that I think about it, I'd rather not.

Don't think we can change the plan.....Ole was given a contract to bring on the youth, develop a more attacking style, and a promise of transfer support. We all knew it would be up and down (and I accept it's pretty down at the moment) but I think we have to stay the course for a season at least. Now, let's beat Liverpool and make the world alright again....

LVG. He is the best coach for team to play possession based football. Patience is required however.
