Worst scout to ever exist
They won't have CL football next season so it'll be harder for them to appeal to players coming up against United who will have CL footballChelsea need a striker in the summer.

Yeah of course,if he wants to go down the Kane/Vlahovic route then no problem. I feel the likes of Ramos/Sesko aren't ready for the step up yet though but Erik may feel differently.
Just saw his most recent goal against Roma
He’d be sensational in the Prem
I'd still be a bit wary of signing a striker from Seria A - Ademola Lookman, who wasn't that good at Everton, is 2nd top scorer in the league ffs!!
Lautaro Martinez, who is just gash, is the 3rd top scorer.
And we've seen how players like Lukaku can tear the league up there but not be that good in the PL.
Osimhen doesn't have the best injury record either.
So he's another Lukaku? Or is that an unfair comparison? Only seen highlights of him, and although he looks like a great finisher, not a lot of clips showing his back to the goal or his first touch/one touch passing skills.Victor is like the complete opposite of weghorst. He runs in behind, is a fantastic finisher and presses well too...however his link up play and hold up isnt so good. Weghorst excels in the link up play and hold up...but cant run in behind. Either way, its better to ger victor over harry kane
We have heard the sentence. A singer with a X factor. Osihmen is a CF with a X factor. A extraordinary CF. He has something extra on his lock.
I personally will rate him up there with Samuel Eto. His acceleration, top speed, ball controll and finish are on top level of football. His goal in the last match for Napoli. 100 % determination and 100 focus. He just want and see the goal in the net.
This boy is up there witht best CF out there in the football world. A top class CF. His sharpness and clinical is up there with Lewandoski.
That is what is his current level is at. One of the best CF out there.
I don't think he's quite as technically good as Eto'o but god he'd be a perfect #9 signing here.
I think we'll sign Ramos and Osimhen will just stay for at least another year as they're winning the league and will fancy themselves to get very deep in the CL this and next year, but there will be games (particularly against higher lines) where we'll wish we had Osimhen.
Nah, it's fine, 150 year contract so the fee is amortised at circa €1m/year. Easy.Doubt they will be spending much in the summer tbh, FFP going to be thumbing their ass good and getting a good feel inside to see what is going on
ESPN said PSG are interested. Theres going to be more demand than supply for a elite no9 this summer. PSG, possibly Real Madrid, Bayern, Chelsea, Utd, spurs (if kane leaves), juventus (if vlahovic leaves), napoli (if osihmen leaves).Honestly feel Erik's coaching could help improve the areas of his game which need work, however agree with the poster above who says he will go to Chelsea so will have to look elsewhere.
Think we’ll be fine. I can see Madrid waiting for Haaland’s widely spoken clause, Juventus, Napoli and Spurs shop in different markets to us, which leaves Ramos, Kane, Osimhen and Vlahovic between us Chelsea, PSG and Bayern.ESPN said PSG are interested. Probably a position you need to get signed, sealed and delivered early on in the window.
He will be off to Chelsea for €130M in the summer. Mark it.

They needed a proper no. 9. I see them going for both Sesko and Osihmen. It is what I would do considering money isn't really an issue.Chelsea already have Nkunku joining to possibly lead the line for them though.
Nkunku's not really an out-and-out striker though, is he?Chelsea already have Nkunku joining to possibly lead the line for them though.
Any time I've seen him his hold up play has been excellent. He's not exactly Kane when it comes to dropping deep and spraying passes around, but when balls are fired up to him they stick more often than they would for other strikers. How accurate is the talk of Osimhen being distinctly average in the build-up? Slightly concerning for the money we're talking about, especially as we're moving towards being a team that dominates possession high in the opposition final third.

A bad world cup doesn't mean Lautaro is gash. He's pretty decent but inconsistent finishing has ruined his reputation. Personally wouldn't take him at United, but he's a decent player.
Lukaku was a very good goal scorer in Premier League so not sure what you mean. Not the striker we needed, but he scored goals.
Osimhen's injury record keeps being talked about but it's important to look at the injuries as well. Fractured cheekbone and covid twice is what kept him out most of the time. His record is fine.
He has had several shoulder injuries, though.

I like Oshimen a lot but we have Kane as an option as well so I'm pretty relaxed about the striker situation. Either is good for me.
Thanks both, much appreciated. My fear was that in the PL he'd have less time on the ball and therefore his (supposed) deficiencies on the ball would get exposed and our attacks and build up could potentially breakdown before they have chance to develop. I might have misinterpreted the extent people are talking down his ability on the ball. I wasn't aware that Napoli play possession focused football (I only watch Serie A highlights) so it's very comforting to know that he can excel in that sort of set-up. His age and current trajectory suggest he's the ideal target. Somewhat promising that there were murmurings of the Napoli president being happy to allow him to leave if they win the Scudetto. Let's wait and see...You don't need your CF to be particularly gifted in the build-up to dominate possession high in the opposition third. After all, he won't be the one building play. He just needs to be proficient enough at hold up play and linking with others.
It's not an accident that Napoli themselves are the most possession-dominant side in their league, have the most tackles in the final third (even while making the 6th fewest tackles overall), have the most touches in the final third, etc etc. You can also look at ETH's previous physicality-first strikers, who weren't exactly master technicians themselves.
What Osimhen can't do that someone like Kane can to a very high level is actively drop out of the CF position into deeper positions to create for others by spraying the ball around. But that's not something our current team particularly needs from its centre-forward given what we've mostly lacked this season is threat in the box. If we signed Kane we'd need him to stop dropping deep in the way he has in some recent seasons at Spurs.
Last season at Ajax Haller had the 3rd fewest passes and 6th fewest touches per 90min out of a squad of 30 players. Even for touches in the attacking third he was only 15th. That puts into context how often a CF in that sort of set-up is actually involved in general play relative to the rest of the team.
Genuinely think this is one of those situations where having CL football would make a big difference.
