Yeah Juve definitely fine compared to scousers, Whitwell just reiterated that Utd feel wages too high so non starterBeen said all long that he has some kind of understanding with Juventus... But Napoli doesn’t have to sell to Juve, the clause is only valid for foreign clubs. I would rather see that than him going to Liverpool.
I expect this to drag on until late August…
If the club feel the same we should wait until next Summer and the right target will come up, or we may have someone in the academy who is knocking on the door. We need to think long term rather than just ‘we need a striker so let’s settle for whatever’s out there’. You can’t convince me Osimhen is the next great United number 9, even if shit on a stick is better than Hojlund. I bet he’s more trouble than he’s worth.I don't know of any other striker we should get, Sesko and Ekitike are not prolific and seem a bit of Hojlund signing in that there is "potential" so is a bit of a gamble

Arsenal bagging Gyokeres should be our wake up call. Osimhen's available for around £64m compared to Gyokeres' £69m fee – and he's a proven elite striker. He smashed 37 goals last season, his physical style is perfect for the Prem, and he's actually keen on the move. With Napoli desperate to sell, we should act asap. He's the instant, world class #9 we desperately need. Missing out because we dragged our heels would be a disaster.

We're not even interested in Osihmen according to the reliable journalists, plus, we don't even have the money for him either.Arsenal bagging Gyokeres should be our wake up call. Surely if we could make some headway with offloading Garnacho (the one who could return a very reasonable fee) and Rashford/Sancho (wages) and assuming we aren’t too dependent on that already for offsetting the potential Mbeumo arrival (lots of assumptions, I know) then we’d be in a better position for it.We're not even interested in Osihmen according to the reliable journalists, plus, we don't even have the money for him either.
He’s the same age profile as Cunha and Mbeumo and he spent the past season in Turkey. I’m not sure that constitutes a “galacticos-type” signing or why they would be put off by the circumstances, especially if there is any truth to us being in for Watkins.I think INEOS is trying to get away from the galaticos-type signing. They rather develop them I guess.
So who are we after? Watkins? Ekitike seems very expensive. We're not even interested in Osihmen according to the reliable journalists, plus, we don't even have the money for him either.

I think it depends on funds, but I'd probably say Watkins will be high up the list as he's experienced and will cost less than Ekitike. We've also reportedly been put off going for Ekitike due to price. So who are we after? Watkins? Ekitike seems very expensive.
The harsh reality of a mismanaged football club.No one until there are some outgoings to fund it.
Probably waiting to get Rashford’s wages off the books to free up the budget for Osimhems wagesAgree with this.
It does appear the most perfect profile of a striker is just sitting there waiting. I’m not sure quite what we are playing at.
Ornstein has said twice now that he's not heard anything about us being interested in Osihmen. Let it go man, its not happening.Osimhen, Cunha and Mbeumo would be a helluva front three.
Until he signs for someone else or we sign a high profile no 9, the Muppet in me will still have hope....

Yeah and Osimhen is a far more dynamic player than Gyokeres.Arsenal bagging Gyokeres should be our wake up call. Yeah never been on since Ornstein wrote it off way back in April, ok so turns out Buchi Laba who is talking this up is considered tier 1 for Nigerian players and Galatasaray.Ornstein has said twice now that he's not heard anything about us being interested in Osihmen. Let it go man, its not happening.
Nope and he won't for us either, maybe he would consider doing it for a team in Champions LeagueHas he reduced his wage demands yet?
On liverpools shortlist, so why not ours?
This ! And it hurt’s my heart and surlely all United fan ..Liverpool have a lot of money to spend, we have next to nothing.
Liverpool have Champions League football to offer, we don't.
Liverpool can pay higher wages.
Liverpool have a squad of top players ready to challenge for all honours, we have a squad of mid table players who might well be in a relegation fight.
The gap between United and Liverpool is becoming a canyon. It'll be a long, long time before we're challenging them for signings again.
