Won’t get into the team ahead of fully reintegrated, “new signing”, and all round good guy, Marcus Rashford.
 
While an amazing player. I just can't get behind signing someone so petulant. I'd like to be able to like our highest earner!
 
The only type of player that will bring us back to the top.

Time for one of the best players in the world here that lots of people hate.
 
Id take him in an FM style player swap deal. Rashford Mount Zirkzee Martinez, maybe £30m cash? Should do it I reckon.
 
I can imagine or dream that Mourinho takes Rashford off our hands in exchange.
 
Now this is the type of player we should be aiming for, not the likes of Summerville. Ain’t gonna happen though
 
Love vini jnr, one of the best players to watch play football when he's on it. But obviously for many, many reasons this is not going to happen. I doubt that's even a good source.
 
So looking for contract extension, just throw in the name of Man Utd.
 
If Tchouameni was a pipe dream, not sure what to call this.
But one of not that many players out there that really would move the needle for our first team. Would love it.
 
Isn’t he on something like 480k eur per week and now wants close to 600k? There’s no chance in hell we will pay that.

Chicken and egg. The amount of abuse he gets in Spain would piss anyone off.
 
In my opinion we have a big chance.

We have heard all season that we wanted to make statement signings & considering our weakest area was in midfield our fans assumed that our statement signings would be in CM.

I started to realise that with our midfield rebalance not costing us much (we could end up signing Santos, Ederson & Baleba for the same price as Anderson) that our statement signing could actually be a winger or a striker.

When it comes to our Salary, it's not that we don't want to pay more than 200k per week - it's that we would only pay high wages for the right player. If we consider that Bruno is our best player then signing Matheus Fernandes and Anderson to be on wages similar or as high as Bruno doesn't make sense. However Vinicius can join us and be on a higher wage than Bruno without breaking our wage structure because both players are some of the elite level players in the world right now.

I had guessed that we might try for Rodrygo as an easier transfer & maybe less baggage but his injury made it impossible. We know Mbappe and Vinicius struggle to get the best out of each other.

It's unlikely but I don't think it's impossible.

You realise he's on insane wages at Madrid and will be looking for a rise rather than a cut?

He'll be looking for double what Bruno is on.

When I checked AI it says Vini Jnr is on £345-400k per week & Bruno is on £300k per week.
Not Euros by the way.

I don't think a player like Vini jnr signing to be the best player at the club with the highest wages is going to break our wage structure. He's like how signing Mbappe would instantly make him the highest earner at the club. He is that kind of transfer.

I don't see him wanting to join us except right now we pretty much have a core Brazilian team going on. Seems more like a City transfer but if the wages on AI is right and his wages won't rise too much above his current wage I don't think it's impossible because he doesn't seem like a Mourinho player if they started prioritising a team around Mbappe.

There's ultimately not many teams than can afford Vini jnr if he was up for sale. Only City, United, Liverpool, PSG could afford him when it comes to transfer fee and wages. PSG wouldn't want a player that doesnt want to be rotated around their flexible front line so we would have a good chance of signing him if he was to leave. It's why when Real Madrids best players leave they get instantly get linked or join us. We are one of the only clubs in the world that can afford their players.

Bit fanciful to think that we could compete financially for his signature. He'd end up elsewhere if he was up for sale (which he likely isn't).
 
Great player, but I was put off by him that time he went tonto at Xabi Alonso for taking him off in a game last season. Nearly had to be held back by his teammates from going after Alonso!

I'd hate to see any United player act like that, especially if we've got a club legend like Carrick as manager.
 
Don't be silly, we're not going to make a statement signing at all. It's all spin. At best we will sign Alex Scott.
I've never liked Vini Jr - can't deny he's a great player though but at the financial cost he's not worth it. If he was £100m and £300,000 pw though Id consider it but that will never happen.
...Also when you take into account that Sir Jim needs to be begged to part with a packet of rich tea biscuits this post is even more pointless.

We surely couldn't afford his wages? But yeah he'd be a dream signing.
 
Would be a very Chelsea signing in the Abramovic era. Maybe Bayern to replace Diaz?
