Would definitely take him for up to max 400k a week. He's that good. And unfortunately we have very little pull to sign world class forwards, unless we develop them ourselves.
Unfortunately I think he can hold for more than that, maybe 450-500 range. Don’t Real pay some super high wages?
They can afford to cos everyone "has dreams of playing for them". To the extent some would run down their contracts to join on a free so in quite a few cases there's no transfer fee even involved hence the large wages
What does it take for some of you guys to recognise that we are no longer paying galactico wages? 400k or more per week is just not happening. Why do you think that INEOS preference is to get Rashford off the books? All we’ve heard since INEOS came in is about the need to reduce salaries. They wanted rid of Casemiro, Rashford, etc since day one

Realistically this is what happens
Getting wages under control and only paying what players 'deserve' is different than having a hard limit and never paying big wages to anyone. We don't really know for sure which one of those are true yet, and won't until we have a player (either bought or developed) who is worth paying those kinds of wages. The likes of Casemiro and Rashford are clearly massively overpaid considering what they bring on the field so aren't really a relevant comparison.
In saying that, I think we're focusing on getting a solid baseline throughout the entire team before we even think about putting the final touches on it with someone on huge wages like Vinicius.

Which makes me wonder about those who say “pay Konate 400k pw”, “give Vini 400k+” and talk about chucking salary around like we haven’t just gone through this process
Having a superstar may disrupt the teamwork we have established. We will not pay the price for him not his wages anyway so look away and just move on.
What happens then in your example with Vini coming in on 400k a week, when Utd approach players for contract extensions? Your wage bill skyrockets. You have less money in the transfer market as it's going on ridiculous wages.
It doesn't work, which is why INEOS are going away from the stupidity of Woodward/Arnold and glazers. It's why we are stuck with a player noone wants earning. 300k a week.
It makes it harder to move players on as very few clubs can afford the financial package. We saw this with Ugarte pre-knee injury. His 120k a week wages being too steep for some of the mid tier clubs in Spain and Italy who were interested in him.

Vinicius is reportedly on 130k more, would definitely be a big change in their structure but that level of quality is worth it in my eyes.
For that caliber/profile of player, you pretty much have to pay up to compete since the wages at all the biggest clubs are normally in that bracket.

I think he is very good but not unbelievably good. He would add a huge threat to any team, and would like him at the club but only if every other position is sorted, he'd add the finishing touches

It's not affordability that is the issue, it's prudence.
Tbf, with their signings last summer everyone thought Liverpool would win the title at a canter. They would obviously be an incredibly strong unit, but it’s not always that cut and dry.
