Yup. To both bolded parts. It will defo be different to most other comic booky stuff is my opinion.I think this is gonna be great. For comics fans, my best guess is that Wanda is going to reshape reality to create this happy, fabricated life where Vision is alive again. A similar storyline happened in the House of M comic series. I imagine that her going mad will directly lead in to the new Dr Strange movie, which she’s confirmed to be in.
Also, Elisabeth Olsen is and it was amazing to see comic accurate Vision!
Agree with this.Ill watch this if only for Elisabeth Olsen. She doesn't get enough screen time.

Got mine through a new o2 contractIf anyone has any Disney+ deals - let me know.
No deals to speak of but Disney + is adding Stars (its Fox content basically) and there's gonna be a £1 a month price increase for new subscribers in April (or £10 a year for the annual subscription). So buying an Annual subscription at the current price before then might end up being a decent saving anyway, in case you can't find any active deals. If anyone has any Disney+ deals - let me know.

9 episodes in total. Positive early impressions & I’m expecting that this show will be how they introduce the multiverse into MCU. Can’t wait to see how much they explore in the series & what they hold back for the films.
It may be introduced here, but I think the explanation/understanding will be shown again in the new Spider-man and Dr Strange movies. I think it is too much of a risk to only introduce the multiverse in a TV series - they'll need to hammer home the idea in quite a few movies IMO
Agreed they’ll pick up a lot of the big stuff in the movies. Feige said this series links to the Doctor Strange film, so I think it’s a fair assumption that the ending of the series will be a cliffhanger that leads into the events of the movies. I posted my theory of what I think happens earlier in this thread - I’ll probably be wrong but I’m excited at the possibilities this show will bring looking ahead to MCU Phase 4.
I think Marvel have played this brilliantly. Theyve got about 10 years worth of movies which concluded with phase three which was the biggest movie of all time. The fanbase has been built to insane levelsNice theory, it may be correct. I'm also really excited for this next phase. My only concern is the more convoluted and complicated they make it, the more likely the average viewer will lose interest in Marvel IMO. I'm a Marvel nerd, so I want as much content as possible
I hope you're right. Can't wait for Xmen to be honest! I suppose there will inevitably be some superhero fatigue at some point, the box office numbers they were putting up before Covid can't be sustainable long-term when you're releasing four movies a year. Having said that, F4 and Xmen allows them to almost start from scratch with brand new amazing characters (i.e. no longer depending on established Iron man, Captain America etc.).I think Marvel have played this brilliantly. And now they can add more complex stuff slowly which is a good way to get people to get Disney+ with the tv series they are introducing, plus with some of the complex stuff, with it being 2021, people will be looking online to discuss and get more out of it.
I dont think 'average viewer' will lose interest as its not the same as it was before where this might be niche and they need to attract average viewers to bolster numbers.
Im looking forward to multiverse and the introductions of the new 'old' stuff like F4 and Xmen.
Like any fad it will fade at some point, but we still get great western movies despite them not being popular for years so they arent going to disappear.I hope you're right. I think IW and Endgame were the peak of Superhero movies in terms of box office. I mean it all came through due to 10 years of build and multiple movies putting things in place here and there.I hope you're right. Can't wait for Xmen to be honest! If Marvel play this well their genius may be in timing. They can now slowly build new characters over the next 5 or 6 years whilst gently building up a new story and then have 3 huge movies towards the end of a new decade. That prevents people getting bored with the huge event type movies and when it does happen it's with the same sort of build-up to before and be just as huge. In the meantime they can still take the money from the character series and movies.I think IW and Endgame were the peak of Superhero movies in terms of box office. I think the one thing that will always work for comic book movies is that its open to everybody, it targets children no doubt (and that will mean that adults will take then along with it). And the movies have really good action (not to mention adults now would have seen different mediums of this as a child, eg the xmen cartoon)
I think overall the Xmen movies from 2000 were good / great but the whole MCU element will be adding to it.
As for the show, I think using tv shows to build up to a movie is a good idea (and its worth testing it with one or two series to see if numbers increase/ decrease based on it).
The Infinity Saga really was an incredible project, I never imagined what they were building when I watched the first MCU movies a decade ago.I think IW and Endgame were the peak of Superhero movies in terms of box office. Oh damn that's a good point with regards to the timingThe Infinity Saga really was an incredible project, I never imagined what they were building when I watched the first MCU movies a decade ago.
Marvel (and the viewers) also really were lucky with the timing, imagine that fecking pandemic hitting us between Infinity War and Endgame.
Oh, they're doing that bullshit and not releasing all at once?Ep1 and 2 now available for streaming on Disney+
Haha yepOh, they're doing that bullshit and not releasing all at once?
If you think you won't enjoy it, why are you even watching it?So I'm about to watch the first episode. Just wanted to make this post before I do. The trailers and theme make me think I probably wont enjoy it.
