Last match of the league phase and we're chasing a seeded position in the table. Losing to Lyon was predictable. Losing to Wolfsburg was not a surprise, though the damage it did to our GD was.

Juventus though? Juventus should be a reasonably fair fight for us. At least it will be if we play well, the defense remember how to defend and the attack take their shooting boots with them.

Loads of permutations available but I'm pretty confident that a win would give us a seeded place in the playoffs. A draw would probably see us miss a seeded place on GD. Whatever the result though we'll be back in European action after Christmas, which is not bad going.

Agreed that this should be a fair fight, or at least would be if all other things were equal. However, (1) Juventus played on Saturday and so have an extra day of rest/prep, and (2) we are the ones having to travel. Those two things in combination seem like a big advantage for the home team -- not to mention that we're coming off a grueling and emotional match in which we left everything on the pitch.

That said, this team has no quit, and I feel cautiously optimistic about getting a result. Will be interesting to see how Skinner manages it.
 
Terland + Malard + Rolfo + Park. How does that work?

Could have been a goal for us from a corner in the opening minute. Juventus comme up the other end and that could have been a chance for them as well. Lively open start.
 
Defensive error close to costing us there again. We were so good earlier in the season in defence, what is happening?
 
Juve spending a lot of time in our half at the moment. Could be a tough night this.

We’re starting to look a lot more comfortable on the ball now. Malard with a decent shot forcing a good save.
 
Was concerned until the goal with Juventus on top, but well taken from Park and a decent effort from Malard. Hopefully we can get one more and be convincing
 
Decent chance on the break there, but Park doesn't quite get the position to get a proper shot away.

Was tough, and Terland/Malard either weren’t in positions to receive a pass or not quite up with the play
 
HT and we're leading 1-0. Some good work out there.

Defense still looking a bit fragile though. It seems sacrilege to say it but MLT hasn't been her rock solid self this past couple of weeks and that sends shudders through our whole lineup. Phallon still looking a bit uncertain as well.

I feel like this has been the case all season. Sandberg we at least know is a good crosser from open play. Shes underhit a fair few crosses going mid height to the first defender too many times this season though

Olmo usually takes the right footers and she skies it with very little pace on the ball which isnt good delivery either

I think the uncertainty around PTJ spreads to the defence. I’m not convinced she’s comfortable playing in the mask.
 
Apart from the poor corners, I'm very pleased with what I've seen so far.
