We’re not using Miyazawa enough in the second half.
Prize money is like the following in the group stage: €60,000 per win in the group stage, and €20,000 per draw
The women are going to get more prize money than the men this year!
For all our possession they could have had a traffic cone in goal in this second half

Agreed. And Skinner making minimal subs and waiting forever with them as always. The strategy is obviously to play the same players 3 times in 10 days as much as he can! This is the worst team we will face, if we cant use the bench for this game I doubt its even going to happen! We have left this game open for Vålerenga to steal late.

I’ve noticed that she does get frustrated against teams that play a low block. She thrives when there’s space to run and pass into
Should have been subbed in minute 60 but she will get 90+ minutes 3 times in 10 days. If we keep rewarding poor performances there will be no competition of places in the team. We need to keep players on their toes so they know they have to perform or not be in the lineup!
That’s where she needs to develop & find new tools.

Agreed - it's not been a vintage performance from Ella, but she's not been bad, far from it.
Delighted with the win, disappointed by the second half performance.

Credit to Park who shut down Vålerengas last chance to attack tracking back like a terrier in the 93th minute.

Wolfsburg crushes PSG and Earps 4-0 at home, that was a big win for the germans!
A win’s a win. I think we might actually play better against better teams that don’t just sit back and defend. Well-drilled counterattacking teams with lots of running seem to be our Achilles heel.
And scary for us... Although does it mean a result against PSG at Old Trafford is on the cards? If we can frustrate the champions of Europe and the champions of England (who are objectively a better team than the champions of Europe) we have to be confident right?
Poor finishing again but a win. Terland, Malard and Toone could have done a lot better with their chances to shoot but got the win
Just made the mistake of looking at the rest of our fixtures in this.

I think Skinner had a great game plan, given our well-known depth issues with respect to competing in WCL: namely, get 3 points without exerting any more calories than necessary. We were super-patient with the ball, enjoying possession for long periods but only going forward opportunistically. We probably could have scored a bunch more goals if we needed to, but we didn't. So nobody had to work too hard and we can be ready to play again on Sunday.

Yep - this was the easy one!
On the bright side, we're the only English team to get a win in the opening round.
They lost 6-1 to Lyon a week or so ago as well. Might be a bit much to hope their run of poor form lasts until mid November though.
In terms of the other teams we have to play in the League stage, PSG are the only ones who didn't get a win.

Ella gets UEFA'S player of the match award, essentially for the shift she put in for us.
Happy for the win; 3 points is 3 points. But it could, and should, have been more than this.
Ye should have scored more but 3 points is all that matters - save the goals for the more difficult matches coming up
Still waiting for this! JoJo has giv n us something, and I think Ella did well for us but I am looking forward to what was promised later!
