Was getting nervous as Brann came out with a bit more purpose in the second half, glad to have got the third goal for a buffer
 
Riviere goes off for Naalsund - hopefully just precautionary. She's taken some pretty heavy tackles today.
 
One of the most complete 90 minute performances I’ve seen from the team. Hardly put a foot wrong all match. Thoroughly deserve to be in the Champions League.

It has been an incredible journey since the first match I watched during 2020 lockdowns - cannot wait to book myself a European away day!! Knowing my luck, it'll be Scotland!!
 
Champions League football here we come!! And what a performance too! Last season, Brann were in the quarter finals against Barcelona, and tonight we made them look ordinary. It was a complete performance: we shut them out completely defensively, dominated the midfield and created plenty of chances. And we made up for our lack of killer instinct in the first leg. Teri with a hat-trick, absolutely brilliant! She’s been on fire this season. If she keeps this up, she will take us far in the WSL and CL. Zigiotti, Hini excellent as usual. Maya dominant at the back.

After the heartbreak last time against PSG, this win feels so good! Can’t wait for the draw and the European games to come around!
 
That was a complete performance. Total control from start to finish. Job done.

Terland was sensational both in her work rate, her finishing, her desire. I think it was @Lobster11 who was raving about Russo - Teri is equally as good. So, she obviously gets POTM and I am pleased for her, especially as she is a Bergen lass and sn ex- Brann player.

But ... Jayde Riviére ... what a player. She is absolutely phenomenal. Miyazawa and Zigiotti totally dominated the entire midfield, breaking up everything and causing havoc. Maya and Janssen didn't put a foot wrong.

Forget about uncut grass and deflated balls. I like the way we only watered our attacking half at the break (Brann would have had the option to water the other half, I guess) A 3000 crowd was a bit disappointing but it doesn't take away from the fact that was a totally professional performance.
 
Not been paying too much attention to the women’s side, but really happy for the team to make their CL debut after 7 years.

Terland unlucky not to bag 4 IMO.
Hope Jayde is OK. It's something we hope for a few times each season.
Majestic Maya outstanding.
Midfield masterclass defensively and offensively.
433 but we looked effective essentially playing two strikers.
Park has slotted right in.
Should be a record crowd Sunday.

Thoroughly enjoyed that. I did get told to sit down by a steward after about 20 mins, even though we had got back row seats in the south stand - the ST is for the north stand, so sitting didn’t come to easily, especially as we were so bright and positive early on.
As well as all who have been mentioned, Sandberg has really stepped up this season, hasn’t she? Last year she looked a bit fragile, but has been solid and positive up the wing so far, I’m a big fan of that. Rolfo looked so composed on the ball too.

I said to my daughter we have to join the supporters club as they were all stood on the back row in the west stand, and no one told them to sit down :(
Felt a bit bad making the steward walk all the way up and back down again…!
 
The draw for the League phase of the WCL takes place today at 11.00 BST. We will play six teams, two from each pot. We only play those teams once, either home or away.

We cannot play Arsenal or Chelsea at this stage.

Should be all considering the U21s are playing there. United men have no home cup midweek matches so plenty of opportunity.

Thing is that a very empty OT is not a good look (how many show up for U21s?) - if attendance is a few thousand like last night then better off at LSV in my opinion

But a big marketing push and dirt cheap tickets for 1 big CL game at OT makes sense

Agreed. And in terms of atmosphere, Leigh works great and once you go over 5k or so it feels like an event. It's notoriously difficult to get good crowds at women's midweek games and that's not a simple thing to change.

Arsenal didn't just jump straight into getting big crowds at the Emirates and they didn't just change the venue on this week's match announcement - they actively worked for it. A big marketing push with their existing matchgoing fans and more significantly in getting new ones. It took a serious and a sustained effort. That doesn't feel like where United are at the moment. Even Arsenal don't plan to use the Emirates for the WCL league phase.

We'll know more when our opponents list is drawn this morning and at the weekend we should have an actual schedule. Maybe there will be an obvious match to test at Old Trafford. Certainly if we make it to the knockouts I hope we try and use OT.
