We have uncertain potential on the left side with Dorgu. Shaw could be injured or play bad all season and if Dorgu isn't up to it, we'd be in a bad position. However, we offer nothing on the right side even with all players fit. I love Maz but he should be a backup to someone better, and thats not being picky. You can rely on Dalot being the weakest link in the team and to just ignore that and accept it because of his availability is such a poor way to improve the team.
It's the same with Rashford. You can't just rely on people who you know will let you down, and expect different results. I loved both Rash and Dalot's potential but honestly they've had all the time and opportunities to iron out their weaknesses now. At some point you have to recognise the player for what he is and these guys are about 3 years off from being 30, yet we're somehow waiting on whats to come. Let these guys go and get some fresh blood in, someone hungry and willing to learn, someone with better competitive energy and clearer strengths in the game.
Seeing majority somehow accept Dalot's overall performances combined with United apparently being incapable of using the transfermarket to extensively build for the future, I can totally envision him cruising along this wave of mediocrity and reach a testimonial at the end. Scares me
