Must admit I liked him and the football his team played when he was at Dortmund.
Undoubtedly he would have been better for us than Moyes, Van Gaal or Mourinho.
His record in finals is terrible though.

He's one of the very few managers out there who can compete with Guardiola in the league while having less resources. Mourino did beat once Guardiola to a league title but that was with an incredibly expensive team.

He's the best manager in the world for me. Would've been brilliant here IMO. I remember last year in the CL quarter's against the 'chosen one' Pep. Hammered them over two legs with the likes of Milner, Henderson, & Oxlade-Chamberlain in CM up against the likes of David Silva, Fernandinho, & De Bruyne. Let's be honest, he was unlucky in last years final with Karius there.

After Bale's overhead kick ref should have just ended the game there and then! Unbelievable!

This all day. Klopp wouldn't come because he could see that a clueless moneyman was in charge.
Exactly. Moneyman in charge, no DoF, no profesional structure --> no Klopp. He came from Dortmund, i mean, its possible that he laughed his ass off after what Woodward showed and told him.

We should not let sir Alex to get old! Guys, stop overthinking and deal with reality! We have had several proven and one unproven coach by now still having the same trouble as before! Woody and Glazeres need to be replaced or better say approach behind managing the club like this, all in all short horizons need to be changed!

 Injury didn’t change his selection, pochettino already alternated his formation and had Sissoko warming up before the injury happened. Spurs having one shot at home speaks more about the quality of attacker they had. Ajax only had two, so there was not a huge difference, but spurs had more shots than their opponents. Nah, I don’t believe Ole would have showed such brilliant game management. A lot of fans has questions this aspect of his game multiple times already. He might have conceded more possession and considering our weak point is keeping hold of the ball, Ajax would have been as dominant against an Ole side for more than just the 30 minutes they were dominant against Spurs.

Yea, I feel that they have been more organized defensively with their new defensive addition, but it is still the same approach, but with a better structure to their defense.
Excuse after excuse after excuse with you. Ajax had three great, clear chances; scored one, should have scored another and hit a post. Spurs had one tame shot on target throughout the whole match.

Pochettino is not the messiah, despite what you may claim time after time.

Ajax should have scored another, but so should have Spurs with some of their headed chances and set pieces. It is not excuses, it is fact. Ajax were dominant the first thirty minutes and then Spurs outplayed them the remaining of the match. They did rely a lot on set pieces and crosses but that shows how tactical flexible a manager like Pochettino is as doing that was their only way forward with Llorente upfront.

The Disneyland stuff is cringey but I doubt it had much if anything to do with klopp turning it down.

He must have had his other reasons, I’d guess at him thinking the job was too big after Fergie. If you want to manage Manchester United and you get the chance you’re hardly going to turn it down because of a stupid comment like that someone makes, and that it wasn’t sexy. Imo of course.

Klopp is a perennial loser. Why would United want him?
Let's see... just off the top of my head:
  • His Liverpool teams have done better each year he's been in charge.
  • Back to back CL semi-finals and will likely finish the season with 97 points.
  • Teams play hard and are entertaining.
  • Plays youth and develops players.
  • Teams have a definite ethos/identity.

I'd rather eat my own smeg than have to listen to and watch him each week as my club's manager. He's fecking terrible.

And he's a perennial loser. Two Bundesliga titles against a weak Bayern team aside he just loses and loses and loses when it matters.

What's the point if this thread again ? Why would a united fan fantasize about having the manager of our main rival ?

He is good yes, but i'm pretty sure that you'd never see a "we should have signed SAF" in rawk.

I don't want anything to do with this serial looser, as good as he may be.

No trophies in yonks.
Always the bridesmaid never the bride
Teams are always knackered come the end of the season
Teams always found out by any team with a bit of cuteness about them
Ethos/identity is run around a lot.

Regardless of this thread being a troll or not, it is probably true.

He’s engaging with his fans and their traditions and he gives players freedom.

But the show pony is at Liverpool and I fancy Solskjaer to make United more recognisable once he gets time to shape the team.

Klopp will dazzle your grandma with his silky smooth smile, even when angry. There's no Karius in his gums anymore. No wonder he is a good manager. Too soon? Probably. They'll bottle it all. Sometimes a glass of fake teeth is not enough.

The biggest mistake of the last ten years. That and Pep. We could have had either with half competent planning.

It’s even the results, it’s the style that would have loved here. I remember saying it at the time on another site, but always shot down because he had that poor season with Dortmund. The fact he had so many injuries ment nothing.
According to Klopp we tried but Woodward's pitch was as laughable as our starting 11.

The best thing Klopp has over any manager in world football is he can remain competitive with limited average players. Look at Barcelona front 3 and midfield vs Liverpool tonight its a mismatch.

Our players are supposedly the blame for our season because they ain't good enough but klopp has a Liverpool side with Wijnaldum, Henderson, Fabinho and Milner in its midfield and Origi, Sane and Shaqiri in its attack beating Barcelona 3-0 and not by some fluke.
