I actually think that Disneyland quote has been lost in translation probably by both Klopp and our foreign fan base and then helped along by opposition fans and United supporters who will get hysterical about anything Woodward does.
“It’s like Disneyland for adults” is a common idiom in the English language and just means "the ultimate place you could imagine" or "the most exciting place in the world to be". It's a simple way of describing somewhere as being at the absolute peak while still having an element of joy and wonder about it. I've heard it used loads of times by adults describing things like a trip to New York/Tokyo/Ibiza and
here's someone describing working at Google (the pinnacle tech firm) in exactly that way.
People have taken the words too literally and steeped it in exactly the connotations they want to fill the narrative around Woodward and United at the moment like "Americanised", "Plastic", "Commercialised" ect ect. Anyone aware of how that phrase is actually used all the time knows how daft it is to use it as a stick to beat Woodward with, especially when there are so many other high quality sticks already available.
If someone asked me about my recent trip to New York and I said "Yeah it was incredible, like Disneyland for adults" and their reply was
"Disneyland?! What's wrong with you?! What a weird comparison, why is it good that it was like Disneyland?", I would think they were an absolute moron and completely incapable of decoding a basic simile or disingenuously disregarding the
"for adults" bit to try and make me look like a tit.
