Kleberson - Veron is disguise? In fact, more of a poof than Veron. What is it with these South Americans, are they such primadonna that they are scared to tackle or even head a ball?

Ronaldo - might be good for the CL, but in the PL he is to young/weak. When you have people like Dennis Irwin marking him he cannot do his pissing leg-over thing and get away with it. That leg-over shite pisses me off to no end!!! AND for god sake man stay on your bloody feet!

Eric - good solid player, but is he really any better than Nicky Butt? Doesn't add anything new in terms of creativity and to me I'd rather see Butty play alongside Keano.

Bellion - CRAP fullstop. (From what I saw of him on the USA tour)

Howard - excellent.

The problem is we don't have time to help these players develop. When Silvestre came to OT I thought he was the biggest load of crap, but he has developed into an outstanding center back - but can we really wait for 4 (Howard already settled) players to take 2 seasons to develop - we need results now otherwise kiss goodbye to the league and kiss off the CL.

At the end of the day - and the Wolves/Southampton games highlighted this - we lack creativity. We have too many players doing the same thing - Kleberson/Butt/DjDj/Keano - too negative. The central mid needed a person who could create something out of nothing. We needed another forward as well who could score goals. When Ruud goes on a drought we are f**ked! We bought for the future, but at the end of the day a team is measured on the present and this team just isn't good enough. I know it is still early, but there is no way we can beat teams like Real Madrid/Milan, etc. in the CL - and we will find it difficult to stop Arsenal in the league.

Don't mean to piss anyone off but just facing facts! As many people had stated on these boards prior to the Kleberson/Roanldo signings, what a disappointing off season in terms of acquisitions!!!

You again? You were right before, we need to get rid of Silvestre and the Nevilles and sack all these "tight ass jews" who are ruining our club.

i can see what your saying maybe id of voiced my opinion a little less harsh, remember scholes and ole were out sunday...

but i agree we are weaker as at this point in time untill the new lads settle... were more a team for the future than for the now, but kleber and ronaldo if they do settle in the latter part of the season and were still involoved then who knows but being the realist too its difficult to see us challenging in europe this year especially

i think howard looks class and djemba looks good, fletcher may impress too this year lots of ifs and butts at this moment

May I ask what's with this 'we need results now' shite?

I'm perfectly happy to wait another couple of seasons for the players to develop. If we are trophyless so be it.

Can't compete with the renties, so we'll just do it our way.

I take it from this that some people just dont read or bother to check what other threads are running before they start a new one. All been said before, many times and its also been said many times as well that they have only played 4 feckin matches this season, Kleberson only 2! So unless you have a time machine you have neglected to tell us about i dont see how you can tell what sort of player any of the new signings is yet!!!!!!

Gosh, 9 points from 12 to start the season, sitting in 2nd place, and already the muppets are calling out players. Best start by United since the formation of the PL (winning first 3 matches). One negative result in a match with 4 changes in the starting 11. Throw out the same lineup from matches 1 and 2 and United probably walk off 2-0 or 2-1 winners. And let's not forgot, it did appear a player interfered with Howard on that cross that Beattie headed home. I've seen Ruud (and Donovan when playing for the US) called for fouls on similar plays.

dont bother mate thats the difference between the young muppets and the true fans

on the contrary i think we have a better chance at the CL this season than the EPL and heres why...

theres no doubting our new signings will take some time to settle in and the team will take some time to gel together and for an understanding to be established between the players... by then we MAY have already lost two many points in the EPL... but by the time we get past the grp stage ie after christmas the real CL will begin and our team will have found its rhythm by then hopefully....

Only that there are about a million threads on this already and you're showing a knee jerk reaction known as "sack-Fergie-sell-Giggs-omania".

And it's fecking irritating 4 games into the season.

No-one wants to discuss it because it's too soon to say.

It's one thing talking about the way the team has played, or saying that certain players shouldn't be in the first team yet, but following a brilliant pre-season in America, you can't suddenly dismiss them like that. Some of them do need time to adapt or whatever, but it's stupid to make judgements already.

Isn't that what managers\coaches are supposed to do?

When Silvestre came to OT I thought he was the biggest load of crap
So maybe you should agree that Kleberson - one full game, Ronaldo -one full game, Bellion - no game and Djemba - v good so far IMO deserve a bit more patience from you

We bought for the future, but at the end of the day a team is measured on the present and this team just isn't good enough.
Is your name Alan Hansen by any chance? Remember our season start at Villa that year?

As many people had stated on these boards prior to the Kleberson/Roanldo signings, what a disappointing off season in terms of acquisitions!!!
We have bought in a lot of young talented players who seem to have a good attitude. We have done this at a net profit. I prefer this approach to Chelseas, where talented players they developed like Carlton Cole are told to piss off to make room for name players.

Try saying something constructive rather than trying to rip the team apart

You may not like Ronaldo's foot over thing, thankfully, its the same with a lot of defenders

Your right in some ways though, we have bought a lot of young players and you cant win anything with kids....

Good post, I can wait after all we once went 26 years, didn't stop me supporting, so all those on the band wagon please get off now.

Maybe now the true fans will be revealed, we've already lost a large part of Asia who "only support Beckham" and if (not by any means saying we will) we take a back seat for a while, maybe we'll lose a lot more. All the better to be only left with die hard fans, it can only benefit the club

It might suit the supporters but how will it benefit the club?

good point, financially it would be a bad thing, the point I was making was that many people have spoken about OT having a poor atmosphere, and the reason is almost definetly because of all the
band-wagon-jumper-oners

They come with success. Can't be avoided - best just to enjoy making money out of them if you ask me.

And all these people who go on about supporting the team thru thick and thin, for 26 barren years etc.....well so what??? When I was able to go to games regularly we weren't winning a damn thing, and whilst people enjoyed the day out, enjoyed watching the team etc. it would be a lie to say no-one whinged, and you can't tell me that no supporter in that 26 years complained about lack of success. Tho you'd certainly think so.

Its early days, Ronaldo will be the greatest find ever given time. Eric is pure class.

As far as I am concerned: feck Real, feck Chelsea, feck arsenal. For me football and especially MU is something more. I don't care about CL because it is a rat race. I live for such moments like Beckhams goals, Giggs assists, Scholes's thunderballs, dribbling of John O'Shea or passes from Fletcher. I am proud of being supporter of such a club.

you silly muppet feck of to some real madrid forums.Dont waste our space with your mumbo jumbo threads.

Ohhh "your" forum is it. Hmm...and when was the last time you visited OT? Can't wait for you to post a thread of any substance where folks actually have a discusssion.

Haven't seen that Kleberson but he sounds world class..........................................on here

Ronalda looks like it could become good

What i've seen Eric Eric Djemba, he reminds me of someone fighting to stay on the fringe of an average Woking squad

Tim Howard, he was good in happy days.......sorry that was Ron Howard his dad. He looks quite good although i don't trust yanx in sports they no nothing about

Bellend, not seen him / dont particularly want to

Good points Livvie20, we do make lots of money from 'Hangers on' but they are not the life blood of the club, the life blood is the real supporters, the type who support through thick and thin. That does not mean that you have to have witnessed the barren years, lots of the young support is as passionate as any of us older fans, if the hangers on leave the club will still survive, it will be just as difficult to get a ticket, such is the support, the benefit will be in the atmosphere returning. So who cares if we have a couple of streaky seasons and some of our support goes to whoever is winning all the cups and leagues at the time, lets take the oportunity to turn OT into the fortress it once was where the noise scared the shit out of the opposition, let Manchester once more become United.

Everyone has a right to his opinion, thats what makes the world wonderful, aint it...better than all the f*ucking piss shit "fishing threads"..posted by "the REAL fans"....

Well, its still too early to tell, how one will fair as the season progresses. Ron n Kleb have not even played like 10 games, so it would be cruel to crucify them as such. Remember Forlan went nearly 25 games without scoring. So give them a lil time and i am sure they will come good.

And i think we will do marvellously well in the champs league, cos we have a well balanced squad. Rem, european football is not all cut n thrust like the EPL, the new boys will definitely perform better in that stage..

Agree with your sentiment - Bouche was just giving his opinion so there's no need to persecute him! :nono:

yes but as someone said earlier it would be a huge loss financially and in merchandizing terms... thats basically the only use we get from jump-on-the-bandwagon-ers

Yeah, I just people wouldn't give it on the basis of two games at the start of a season at a new club.

Feckin hell, all your signings were supposed to be amazing a few weeks back...

Now some have gone the other way and dismissed them as being shite after a few games...

No middle ground...

Mind you, they looked crap on Sunday....;)
