Weird feelings of football

Not sure if it’s been posted before, but you could probably make a PL contending team solely out of Chelsea players who have worn one of those carbon fibre masks over the years.
I honestly can’t remember a single United player wearing one, maybe Matic? Or was he at Chelsea at the time
It's weird how they have 5x more players with them than any other club.

This image is 9 years old. They'll have at least another player for every season since then.

Case in point: Aubameyang. Plays 5 seasons for Arsenal: nothing. Plays 5 minutes for Chelsea: Zorro mask.

Every Italian manager just manages every other Italian team for no reason and gets zero hate for it. Someone will manage Milan, Juve, Inter, Roma, Napoli and Lazio in an 8 year period winning leagues with about 3 of them.
Applies to players too. For any two of Milan, Inter and Juve you've got:

Zlatan, Pirlo, seedorf, Vidal, crespo, inzaghi, vieri, R9, Edgar Davids, Vieira, Lucio, Bonucci, Cuadrado, Muntari, Cannavaro, Balotelli, Roberto Baggio...and Darmian.

Chelsea sign a player called Sarr every single summer and he usually plays about 1 league cup game.

Despite me never hearing him speak I'm for some reason convinced that Jason Wilcox has the same voice as Mark Chapman.

Apparently all professional players in the world, except Joao Felix, are perfect fit for Simeone's Atletico.

Every Middle Eastern country has a club called Al-Ahly in their top division

Every non-European team in the Club World Cup fields at least one player we thought had retired years ago.

Luis Enrique disappeared for a decade. One minute he was in his early 40s managing Barcelona and then all of a sudden he was in his 50s managing PSG.

It doesn't matter what year you look at, there's always an under whelming Portuguese winger called Conceição at a top European club

Players seem to only need to have one decent game against a side for that side to be interested in signing them. Rashford had good games against Barca and PSG, Antony had a good game against Betis and Sancho had a good game at Chelsea. If those teams watched them any other week I doubt they'd be interested.

Lets not complain about that regarding them though

Similar can be said for players playing against us.

It's a melancholy of a sort but I think you've turned a corner with the fates by now and might actually have a good season.

Last season, start the season with a manager that should have been sacked continuing his sabotage mission of hollowing out the quality of his squad by only signing players in his 1st connections on LinkedIn.
Finally sacked, you get the hottest young manager out there and he proceeds to the worst of any united manager in living memory.
You finished 15th despite going into the season all bullish about a top four finish and certainly no less than 6th. Meanwhile, discarded McTominay is celebrating a title win as player of the year in Italy.
Finally you go on to lose the europa league to the only non relegated team worse than you in the league. Then top off that week with an epic trip to south east Asia with an attendant-less parade, losing to a bunch of semi pros and amateurs, being booed off the pitch and Amorim with his last post match interview of the season saying "the boos is maybe something that we need".

How do you top that? I think the fates have squeezed the payment from Fergusons deal with the devil as far as it can be squeezed. It can literally only get better from here.

Be honest, was this entire post just an excuse to write that middle paragraph?

It certainly can get worse. We could get relegated. We certainly weren't far off in 24/25.
