As I said in the other thread, gutted to lose him but happy it’s to United as I will still watch him.

Really good signing for you, he’s a player who definitely gets you off your seat, fast, unpredictable and exciting, loves the impact and adoration of the crowd, I expect him to get better and better for yourselves.

Just a quick note, man I thought we had some negative fans but you really have some on here, just enjoy the fact you’ve brought one of the most exciting players from last season.

Great post, thanks mate.

Good post

Cunha, Mbeumo and Gyokores with a with a manager who plays on the front foot, wow. Would have personally preferred Cherki over Mbuemo.

He's a match winner. Look at this link stating the players with the most man of the match awards last season and he is well clear in second place with 9 only one behind Salah. There is a good chance he would have had more MOTM awards than anybody in the league if he didn't miss the games through the red card suspensions (he missed 4 of the easiest games of the season with his second ban)

Bruno had 5 for context.

(click the MOTM tab to put the players in order of most first)

He is in the bag no doubts about that. when a player wants to go to only one team then the club are helpless and will have to agree a fee eventually. Someone might point out Barca and Rashford problem is, Barca don't have no money.

Observations in Brazil vs Ecuador match.

He does walk a lot with a lack of intensity in closing down opposition. High presses from our side will be easily found out as Cunha just doesn’t press well.

He is a luxury player. In my opinion, we have replaced one player in Rashford to another in Cunha who can irritate the fan base if it is going wrong and all they are doing in walking.

If Enrique can do it with PSG, Amorim can change him too.

Que? Lack of intensity in closing down opposition? Doesn't press well?

Well how did he accomplish this then?

If he comes in a start banging in goals and providing assists, his impact would be like Eric Cantona. I expect United would progress to top 4 sooner rather than later. I prefer Zirkzee to Hoijund if we can't find a good striker. I think Zirkzee brings more to the table with passing and creativity. Front 3 that can interchange would be exciting.

I think the answer is already at the club between Rasmus and Zirkzee. The 10s firing it into them with Bruno behind should be creative

It’s just people doing what people do on here, being subconsciously desperate to find negatives. Cunha isn’t a player that presses relentlessly, this is known, what is also known is that he is a player that presses selectively and very intelligently. There are multiple video analyses out there that show how he does this to win possession in dangerous areas and create goalscoring opportunities. Additionally, pressing is a team instruction, not an individual one. You have to press as a unit or not at all. How he presses with United can’t really be determined by watching a substitute performance with his NT after the end of the season. It was a typically knee jerk post that you responded to.

It feels weird getting our business done so early. Are you allowed to go full muppet after the transfer has happened? Because that's where I am with Cunha. He just has everything you would want from a Brazilian - technique, vision, flamboyance as well as Premier League ready physicality. I think he can become the best player in the world in the next few years.

I'd like to have whatever you're having.

Where are the songs thread for him? Get all those songs out but if he does something wrong just once though we are going to destroy him.

I'm very excited too. He was kind of a flop in Germany, but you could always see the brilliant football player, even back then i always said, clearly the best football player in the squad, if he can sort out the rest...

20 pl goals versus never played in the league. We don’t have the squad to take any more risks at this stage.

Excited about this transfer but I’m afraid to be too positive. I remember reading the opening reactions on the Caf when Antony signed for us …
To be fair, Antony came from another leafue. Cunha have delivered in PL already.

Steady on.

I Think Cunha is the anti-Zirkzee. Someone like a Tevez Pitbull terrier, very aggressive.
I am really curious about how they could complement each other, but it's to be seen, of course.

Cunha didn't have the chance to show his level/consistency at Atleti, so I hope he'll adapt well here.
It's funny how in efootball/pes they have the same playing style, and due to their approached to their positions it kind of makes sense even, but they are such different players in actuality. Really hope it works out, as it could be an exciting duo to see bloom if they get used to each other.

I don't know him well enough, but then I hope Mbeumo is a bit more of a direct player, otherwise you'd have a 10 with 9 qualities and a 9 with 10 qualities. If they all show their best (or improve) their goal scoring it won't be necessary as much, but at the current point of United, I don't know if two playmaking forwards will increase the (possible) goals enough.

I understand the pull with 20 league goals, but sometimes you have to look at the overall production of a player and not just goals. I am very happy with Mbuemo, but Cherki just has more tools to his game. It's a shame he will display that at City instead.

I think if he’s ambitious he goes and plays under pep. We aren’t where we used to be, it’s a rebuild (just like city) but they are rebuilding from 5th.

Missed a great chance. Diving header at back post and inexplicably decides to head it across goal instead of finding bottom corner.

Carlo is going to have to sort his attackers out. Raphina, Cunha, Martinelli and Vini seem a bit confused as to who should play where.
