West Ham United Football Club nicknamed The Irons, The Hammers, and The Academy of Football - are a professional football club based in Upton Park, East London; and were founded in 1895 by foreman and local league referee Dave Taylor and owner Arnold Hills as Thames Ironworks - a strictly amateur football club. They turned professional in 1898 upon entering the Southern League Second Division, and were promoted to the First Division at the first attempt. Following growing disputes over the running and financing of the club in June 1900 Thames Ironworks F.C. was disbanded, then almost immediately relaunched on 5 July 1900 as West Ham United F.C. West Ham's most successful period started with the appointment of Ron Greenwood in 1961, leading to FA Cup, League Cup and Cup Winners' Cup titles - with youth team graduates Bobby Moore, Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters at the forefront. Their nickname 'The Academy of Football' pays homage to the success of the club in coaching future greats - which includes that trio of World Cup winners, Trevor Brooking, Paul Ince, Rio Ferdinand, Frank Lampard and Michael Carrick. West Ham's most prominent rivalries involve local clubs Millwall, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur; and they have been playing their home games at The Boleyn Ground (often referred to as Upton Park) since 1904, with a plan to move into the Olympic Stadium by the start of the 2016/ 2017 League season.

Assuming that we lose (which is likely), I think this may be the last game I watch this season. Really feels like a waste of two hours every week as our football is absolutely dire.

I've gone for WHU 2-1 MUFC.
MUFC will get their customary 1 goal and WHU should get 2.

Can't see us getting a good result here, though whatever it is I think the one in the league will be the opposite winner. To be fair, we've done fairly well performance wise vs West Ham this season, but away to them I can't see a win. Hopefully the players are up for it, and hopefully (though it's a long shot) Van Gaal picks our best players and plays them in the right positions (mostly).
What I would probably do here is:
    De Gea
    Valencia Smalling Blind CBJ*
    Herrera Schneiderlin
    Young Mata Memphis
    Martial
*If Cbj is fit of course.

West Ham are good. We are not good. It is going to be bad.

I hope I'm wrong. Let's win a fecking cup. It's been too long, and we've never been handed a better opportunity to do it.

West Ham deserve the cup this year and our sorry shite don't. If this ends Van Gaal i'm all for getting beat.

TFM vs Carroll . In fairness to Smalling, up until that rash moment where both he and Blind went for the ball he had Kane in his back pocket. Smalling seems to be getting better it is just the guys around him that seem to make a moronic decision a game.

Totally forgot about this fixture. LVG has sucked everything out of me this season. Having little interest in an FA cup quarter final, where the other teams left in are Watford, Everton and Palace, is crazy, but that's the way that it is at the moment. We will get battered anyway. 2-0 Hammers.

I expect us to lose and announce Mourinho till the end of week.

Probably only the 1st thing will happen.

We'll have the ball, do nothing with it, West Ham will be more dangerous, 1st half will end 0:0 without a shot on goal from us. In the 2nd West Ham will inevitabely score a goal or 2, LVG will sub 2 or 3 fullbacks, change a formation once or twice, put 5 or 6 players out of position, play Darmian up front and we'll loose in the end.
After the game LVG will say we were good if not better until we conceded and that is bad to concede, that we had a lot of chances and couldn't score, that it's a shame to go out of FA cup but we made a step more than last season so that's good.
And that we shall continue to fight.

Come on you hammers!!! Kill Lvg's hopes of having a job at end of the season. A nice 4-0 will be good.

Why would anyone root for West Ham, even if it meant LVG getting sacked? This is the best chance of winning the FA Cup in years ffs!

To root for the oponnent though is a bit. OTT.

Imagine winning the F.A. cup and the club decides that as LVG "won" a trophy we should give him another year!
Letting Mou go,appointing giggs next year? I love the club, i know whats right for my club and i ll do it. Its tough love that this club needs, supporting LVG will do more harm than good. Whatever gets him out is to be cheered. One win/loss does not matter, imagine the number of years this will set us behind. We will become liverpool!

Well do what you think it's the best. I just wouldn't ever root for the oponnent, no matter how bad things are. And things are really bad.

Id take LvG sacking over an FA Cup win.

If he is here next season I genuinely believe he'll come close to relegating us next season. Id take a LvG sacking and potential title challenge thanks.

Ask Wigan if winning the FA Cup made their relegation worth it
