Your feelings on who may be on vocals? Or do you reckon Andrew will fill in? Heard Kurt Travis was joining on the newly announced US dates!
The feck??? I just read up on the Tilian news. That is a major bummer..I'm not sure many people can carry his stuff from Artificial Selection and songs like Inspire the Liars. Really put a downer on the gig now. There's a guy on youtube called Andy Cizek who covers the songs so well but I doubt they'd get a rookie like that.

Damn I didn’t realise you weren’t aware! Yeah it is a total bummer. I was a fan back in the day then got back into them around 2018 and loved Tilians vocals. Glad it’s still going ahead but anyones guess as to who will fill in.

Recently seen Protomartyr, Thee Oh Sees, Ash, Spiritualized and The Killers.
Going to see Pixies next week and Manchester Orchestra in Sept.
I'm over in LA and Vegas in November and going to see The Who, Psychedelic porn crumpets and Acid Dad whilst over there.
Did you see Pixies last night, by any chance? They were incredible. Up there with the best gig I've ever been to - setlist was almost perfect.

How were Spiritualized? I saw them back in '98 when they were touring 'Ladies and Gentlemen...' and that was another one of the best I've seen. I haven't been too keen on any of their music since J fired the rest of that band though.

Arctangent Festival in August, Riffolution Festival in September, Dammnation Festival in November, Clutch and Green Lung in December and hopefully a few other bits and bobs.
Those are two I've wanted to do for a while now, sick line-ups year in year out. Very much in the vein of Roadburn Festival, which is my personal favourite festival. Another one with a ridiculous line-up is Amplifest in Porto, which I'm going to in October for the second time.

Closer to the present: Emma Ruth Rundle next Friday, who broke me with her intimate set at Roadburn earlier this year.

I've never been to any fests outside of the UK, maybe I will one day as there are some great ones dotted about. I've been to Damnation every year since 2012 as I prefer shorter indoor stuff to camping out for days, though this will be my second ATG in a row so I may have become a regular!

I've never heard of Emma Ruth Rundle, I'll have to check her out. My favourite artist who started fairly heavy but is mostly acoustic these days is Patrick Walker from 40 Watt Sun. I'm extremely excited to see them at Damnation.

Just bought a ticket for Been Stellar in Dublin Saturday week. Then I've All Together Now festival at the end of the month. Gaslight Anthem & Arcade Fire in August.

I'm just coming to the end of a project where I tried to see 122 bands in 122 days. (not one a day as supports and festivals count). I'm currently on 102, with three weeks to go.

What’s the significance of 122?

I did 100 in 100 days back in 2015 and ended up seeing 121 in total, so thought I'd try go one further this time.

Plus I decided to do it when on my way to a gig on 1st April. 122 days later is 31st July, which is the last day of the All Together Now festival, so it just worked out timewise.

Yes I did, that 30 song non stop set list was just outstanding..."Hey"...and that was it we're off.

Spiritualized were also excellent, only problem being it was at the Bridgewater Hall, just don't like sitting for a gig.

Or not, they just cancelled the tour. :(
Yeah, had tickets too, in Antwerp. Damn!
Seriously fecking pissed off about this. I had tickets to see them and Run The Jewels at Rock en Seine. This was my highlight of the year. They've cancelled the entire day now, so not only do I not get to see Rage, but I miss out on Run The Jewels, too.

This is seriously fecking shit. I've had 4 gigs booked this year, and 3 have been cancelled. Doves, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and now this. So angry.

Same here. Rocket from the crypt, Aerosmith, bad religion, new bomb turks, distillers and tons more I've already forgotten about. Easily 10+. I still ahve tickets for about 4, let's see what happens :)

Happy to have seen RATM about 12 years ago, but still wanted to go badly.

That's shit. Hope you manage to get to see the other ones.

I'm so gutted. Can't remember the last time I've been so disappointed about anything. Seriously, feels like the year is over already. :(

On the plus side, at least you don't have to watch Doves now.

I’m actually going to see the Gorrilaz next Wednesday. Might be the last chance I ever get to see them. My first concert too, though it’s indoor and not a proper concert in a stadium. Eminem ain’t coming to Ireland so might aswel see these guys. Hope they mostly sing the old songs, hate the new ones.

I love them!
Brandon Flowers is Badass. "Are we human or are we dancer?"

My favorite band ever. Love that song. This verse always got me in the feels

Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Give my regards to soul and romance
They always did the best they could
And so long to devotion
You taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye, wish me well
… You gotta let me go!

Ughh yep that exactly. Have fun and sing along to that one for me. They have so many good songs I can't really pick one.

Have you heard their new one yet?

Oh yes. Listened to it on repeat a few times the day it dropped. Really hoping that’s a single off a new album, because it has a very throwback to their early years sound for them!

I can assure you, I’ll sing along to all of them. I’ll message you on here if they play Human. Here’s their most recent set list… if it’s similar to this, I’ll be in Heaven.

Yes please and that's a solid line-up.

I wonder if they're coming to NY too. I'll have to check and if they are I'll be there.
