Not that there was ever anything really groundbreaking, but they used to be a bit of fun. We had some crackers down the years.

was it just us? Or was it a thing that every team did?

The FA Cup and all the prestige surrounding it disappeared when Sky starting saturating us with 24/7 Premier League hype and people started pretending the league cup was anything other than an excuse to laugh at Arsene Wenger.

It's sad because Cup final day was one of the biggest days of the year when I was a nipper (not that long ago).

Coming up with a song would hardly be worth the hassle nowadays.

Surely with the number of high-profile fans clubs have there's got to be some talented people who could string out a melody and some words.

I mean we've got people like, Mick Hucknell, Justin Timberlake, Stormzy, Drake, Ian Brown

Surely there’s enough know how in the caf to produce something next time we’re in a final? Music, recording, CGI-ing players, editing etc?

The Chicago Bears released the "Super Bowl Shuffle" in 1985 and it was very popular and also spurred on a number of copy cats in North American sports. However, nothing reached the height of the original and their popularity dried up in the early 90s, which seemed like the same time the FA Cup songs died out in England

To be honest it would just be cringey now. Stuff like that worked in the 80’s and early 90’s. It just wouldn’t now.
Now anything like that would just look overproduced and probably would be.

It's similar to how cheesy movies or absurd action films with unintentional funny moments worked well in the 80s and 90s but not so much now. Everything is almost too serious and clean cut.

Dunno about before an FA cup final but we should definitely release one after. Give Pardew something to dance to properly.
