What's the plan for the 22 day break? Training camp in Ireland (March 22 - April 11)

Must admit don't like that we've let them all go on holiday in a light game season. It shouldn't even be on Carrick has he has limited authority as an interim, the club should have set the standard.

One of the good things of the Amorim tenure was the improvement in professional standards I hope we aren't going to slack off now. I'm sure the players love it but it's not good long term.

How do you know he's not training them like Rocky in Rocky IV?

They should rather have a training camp. Be together, bond, but mainly improve and get better. There is a great chance to get top 4 and we really need to get this
A week in Portugal would have been better but I don't think uncle Jim can afford that.

Why is it not about "outperforming in league games."? I'd like more of the same between now and the end of the season.

Anyway, can you think of something that might have changed - which has nothing to do with the players - since the bad results that bother you so much?

I guess I was right.

Going off the lacklustre performance today after a break, they should defo arrange a friendly. Give everyone a game, keep them sharp. 22 days is far too long.

We seem to have lost the ability to pass a ball accurately in the last 14 days, frustrating as it is I don't see us having any midfield control until next season. Can't understand why there also seems to be a lack of urgency as well

I already wrote, they should be on short leash and practicing. Especially how to play against low blocks.
Seen this shit do many times since 2013. Win some game and act like CL winners.
It was flooded pitch, i get it, but there was no urgency at all. Everything was in slow motion, passing, throw ins, FKs ect...
I can understand bad results, but lack of trying. Nah.

We looked like we hadn’t played for a couple of weeks last night, so even if it’s just a friendly against some oil state shite team we’ve got to do something.

feck that so fecking much. Why the feck did they give us two bloody more Monday night kick offs? Disgusting. We really need to complain, as this is unacceptable. No reason whatsoever for this. Way too many Monday night kickoffs.
Because nobody does anything about it. Fans will all turn up regardless.

Having just 5 games over 2 months between the West Ham game on Feb 10th and the Leeds game on April 13th is nasty business.

There's an international break though. So the actual break for the players isn't as long as it looks. It's the FA Cup weekend after that we will be unoccupied.

Whether the fans turn up or not is moot, the broadcasting rights are worth more so they call the shots
If fans boycotted a match and protested outside for 90 minutes, that would have an impact and maybe they'd start to rethink most of these kick off times.

I'll probably just watch Sweden not qualifying to yet another world cup and have a nap

Can't we arrange something to make a little bit of money?

Unfortunately this is what happens when you're utterly fecking shit.

At least we'll be back to normal next season. Spare a thought for Everton who have to do this every season.

These long breaks should have included the following:

Open Training at OT
Players short on match fitness should have been playing with the under 23s.
Any Women's/Under 23s matches moved to OT.

The club constantly talks about the need to increase revenue (usually through ticketing policies) but constantly misses fairly easy opportunities to bring in some (albeit maybe limited) funds.

They have included the Women at Old Trafford in this gap.

United Women are at Old Trafford on Wednesday 25th March in the Champions League quarter final first leg against Bayen Munich, and again a few days later for the Manchester derby on Saturday 28th March.

[The Times] Manchester United's present run of 23 consecutive inactive days is the club’s longest scheduled break between fixtures during a season since 1895 (excluding the winter World Cup in Qatar).

Plus the U21s will play Real Madrid at OT in the International Cup

So at least 3 Old Trafford fixtures going on in this break - might be FA Youth Cup too
