I still think about Portsmouth in the FA Cup. The year Portsmouth went on to win it.

We had so many missed sitters, so many bad ref decisions against us, Portsmouth were shit and then won with a jammy penalty. We should have won about 5-0.

We won the PL and CL that year. And I’m absolutely convinced we would have won the treble again had we won that match.

I was fairly annoyed we didn't send West Ham down that season.

Also that time we lost in their last game at Upton Park and they drove the taxis around it afterwards.

Maybe just West Ham actually.

this was the first game that came to my head when I saw the title of the thread. Sure James pulled a worldly save from Rio in injury time too

Porto. Scholes offside. About 3 yards on side in reality.

vs Porto, Mourinho’s run.
Not just for that but for Scholes offside goal that wasn’t.

And I was there! Still make some angry.
Hate going out on stupid away goals.

Drogba winning the league for Chelsea at Old Trafford with a goal that was a good yard offside.

Porto, Champions League, 2004. Should have been our trophy.
We where not very good that year.

I would probably say that match against Real where Nani got sent off. Felt so unfair at the time.

And the match against van Gaals Bayern. Felt we underperformed against them.

The last match with RM, Nani sent off. Absolute robbed from a good match. And the 2nd CL final against Barca. Should have been our revenge!

2010, Chelsea turned up to Old Trafford and Drogba scored a winner that was clearly offside. Cost us the title actually, as I think they won it by a point that season. Would need to go and check, as I could easily be wrong, mind you.

Everton 4-4
Real 1-2 which was my first match at OT
And that Chelsea game with the drogba offside goal that cost us the league
Oh and the Bayern game at OT that, we would’ve won the CL that year

a lot of bad memories there

In addition to the ones mentioned, I really hated losing 1-0 to City the season they won their 1st title. When you lose to poor refereeing, opposition keeper having a worldie or poor finishing it’s just pure bad luck but we lost that game in the most un-Utd and Un-Fergie manner possible. We pretty much surrendered the game when we named the team sheet.

I think we'd still have beaten Lyon, Deportivo and Monaco.

AC Milan in the 69 semi. Cheated by the ref who later admitted it.

Loving their demise right now

Portsmouth 2008 first one that comes to mine. Clear penalty denied to us too, that foul on Ronaldo by Distain.

Rafael red vs Bayern was a joke.

Ditto Nanis red vs Real.

Less so but the 2 finals against Barca annoy me a little as in neither we played our best first XI. Park started in both when we really should've just played the best technical side we had, with Scholes, Tevez etc in 09 like we did in 08, and Nani, Scholes etc in 11.

Everyone rightly mentions the Everton 4-4 match but the Wigan defeat in the previous game was pathetic. Still annoys me. Don't think we had a shot on target the whole match.

The 1-1 vs Bayern Leverkusen in the CL semi-final in 01-02 was hard to take. Keane was immense that season for club and country but it wasn't meant to be :(

Semi-final against Dortmund in '97, missed so may chances. Every chance we would have gone on to win it too, it if we got through, heartbreaking!

Another one would be against West Ham in the cup, not so much the result, but the manner of the goal.

That one where Di Canio was played through on goal and Barthez just stood there with his hand in the air appealing for offside instead of fully commiting to the 1v1, which would have been at a pretty tight angle as well. Your job is to try to keep the ball out of the net you fecking fanny
