Which records of futility will we break this season?

In the Premier League era, our records of worsts are as follows:

Worst finish: 8th in 23/24
Fewest points: 58 in 21/22
Fewest goals scored: 49 in 15/16
Most goals conceded: 58 in 23/24
Fewest wins: 16 in 21/22
Most losses: 14 in 23/24
Worst goal differential: -1 in 23/24

It was pretty incredible that four of these lows were set in the same season, last season, but I think it's absolutely feasible that we set seven new records for futility this season.

Think the lot of them sadly. The LVG record for least goals scored is shocking and the fact that we could beat it is crazy. Everyone knew that attack was going to struggle in the summer.

I remember we had a "decent" run of games without scoring in the first half under LVG. Right now, we've scored ONE first half goal in the last 16 matches. So that's pretty impressive as well.

I was just looking at the league table. Only the teams in the bottom 3 have scored less goals than us. It’s very very possible we break the least goals scored record

May as well break them all this season, then we won't hear about them being broken again unless we're relegated

All of them. Our form is going to get even worse. I never imagined we could do worse than 23/24.

I think we're definitely setting new records for five of them- fewest points, worst finish, fewest wins, most losses, and worst differential.

Goals scored and goals conceded will be interesting. I could see us getting maybe 15 goals in the final 13 matches, which would give us 43 for the season.

Almost guaranteed:
- Worst finish
- Fewest points
- Most losses

Most likely:
- Fewest goals scored
- Fewest wins

Could go either way, but still high chance:
- Worst goal differential
- Most goals conceded

Thankfully we won’t have to worry about losing the record of where we have never lost a game at OT, whilst leading at half time.

As that requires us to score in the first half.

-If we win out, we can now only reach 56 points, so we've officially secured our lowest points total in the Premier League era now

-We have equaled our record number of losses

-The next time we fail to win we'll have guaranteed a new low in wins

Can’t wait for next season to be even worse than this one.

I genuinely want to cry. Last season was an all time low, yet this is even worse.

Think it would be less painful to forfeit the remaining games 3-0 than it would be to watch this team.

We could finish 4th from bottom, I doubt we’ll win more than two of the last six games and even that might be optimistic.

Must admit I will give all six games a miss, Thursday might be last game of any interest left this season.

Could easily finish 17th - only above 3 of the worst teams ever to play in the PL. There’s only 3 points in it, and who knows if we even win again this season.

Previous low for points was 58... we won't even crack 50 this season.

Here’s hoping. Lowest league finish team to play in the Champions League the next season.

Newcastle, Spurs, Forest, Brighton have all done the double over us in the league this season. West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves could all do it as well. Spurs also beat us in the cup so they've beaten us 3 times this season.

I'd be surprised if 4 different teams have done it before.

Crazy that for a club built on attacking football traditions that we could beat LvGs lowest goals scored tally. Need 11 goals in 6 games to avoid it.

It doesn't help that Wolves have turned into 1970 Brazil within the past month.

First time since 1958 4 teams have done the double over us in the same season.

This is by far our worst season since before the Second World War. For shame. It makes last season look like the treble season.

I can't even recall finishing 2nd under Mourinho/Ole anymore. Were they the good old days?

Honestly, I don't even care at this point. I've long since accepted that we are shite.

Yes. Even last season seems like a title winning season when compared to this. We played better than this season in the season in which we were fecking relegated.

It's a fecking miracle that we still have our Old Trafford leading at half time win record. Still time to lose that too though.

We've quite cleverly avoided leading at half time so as to hold the record a while longer.
