Which records of futility will we break this season?

Newcastle, Spurs, Forest, Brighton have all done the double over us in the league this season. West Ham, Bournemouth and Wolves could all do it as well. Spurs also beat us in the cup so they've beaten us 3 times this season.

I'd be surprised if 4 different teams have done it before.
Funny how that list doesn’t include Liverpool, City, Arsenal or Chelsea, ie our main rivals over the last 30 years. We’ve become a game-raising mid-table team.

First time we will finish in the bottom half of the table in the PL era.

It might be the first time in 51 years (relegation season) United won't have a single player scoring double digits in the league.

It might be the first time since 1921-22 that United fail to win two consecutive league games.

A point against Arsenal and Liverpool isn't good. Have yet to play Chelsea again but drew them the first time.

That last one is truly shocking. Just absolutely pathetic.

In the Premier League era, our records of worsts are as follows:

Worst finish: 8th in 23/24
Fewest points: 58 in 21/22
Fewest goals scored: 49 in 15/16
Most goals conceded: 58 in 23/24
Fewest wins: 16 in 21/22
Most losses: 14 in 23/24
Worst goal differential: -1 in 23/24

It was pretty incredible that four of these lows were set in the same season, last season, but I think it's absolutely feasible that we set seven new records for futility this season.

New records of futility that are now guaranteed:

-Worst finish in the table
-Fewest points
-Fewest wins
-Most losses

I doubt we're scoring 11 goals in the next 5 matches, so that'll be another one. I don't see us making up the goal differential, so that'll surely be another one.

I don't see us giving up 13 goals in 5 matches, so maybe that one is safe.

I guess the lesson to take from this season is a lesson that is just as applicable in life: apparently, rock bottom has a basement.

I wonder if next season will be even worse.

Eighth defeat at Old Trafford, an unwanted feat that hadn't been recorded since we were beaten nine times in 1962/63

15th defeat of the Premier League season, the most of any of our club's sides since the 1989/90 campaign, which involved 16 losses in Division One.

I wonder if next season will be even worse.
I don’t think that will be the case, at least I hope not. If the unthinkable happens and we’re knocked out of the EL I expect the squad to be dismantled, and to be honest, even if we do win it, a 17th place finish for Manchester United is insane and there will a massive inquest as to why the players and manager(s) failed so spectacularly.

I really can see us conceding 13 goals, especially if we make the EL final. We’re practically surrendering in league games now. League games are a hard watch and for those of us paying to watch, it feels like we’re surrendering our hard earned cash.
