Delap by miles. But he was half the price and is far younger.

Yes but watch the spin on the ball, unless your saying delap is able to get there before it hits the floor it’s still going to ping out like a rugby ball bounce and he still needs to collect it turn and shoot by which time the keeper is back on his line. Why on Earth would you need it explained?
The keeper fecking gives up and stops still for two seconds, and then still makes a fool of him.

(Ps I think delap is shit)
Delap will end up being just as good of a PL player if not much better than what GyokeresDelap is absolutely woeful. Why did so many want him?
He absolutely can get there before it hits the floor & has a chance to just nod it in but decides to stick up his hand instead and claim a goal, then even when he waits, a touch and quick shot also means a goal (0:09 in the vid).
After dallying like an absolute moron he he has a simple pass to 41 for a certain goal, fecks that too, then even when he’s fecked all of that and let the keeper get completely back and let a defender block the pass, he makes an absolute hash of trying to dribble around him.
It’s like he did everything in slow motion.
Man had a vision all along. Our struggle wasn't in vain like he said, the good times are coming. The answer is yes.
Just imagine, if we had won the EL, we could have ended up with both :/
Amorim's silent domination foundations.
What a thought. Our striker run would have been: Højlund, Gyökeres, Delap as our striker sequence. The answer is yes.

Even though Gyokeres hasn't lived up to hype and his price tag, he's clearly not been as bad as Delap.
One has 13 goals and the other has 2 goals this season.
The amount of time he wanted on that rebound is Sunday league speed of thought. Can someone explain to me why that was an easy goal? He closes the ball down well, it comes off the crossbar but looking at the spin of the ball I don’t see how he was supposed to quickly tap it in?
In terms of non-penalty goals in the Premier League, Bruno and Mbeumo will outscore Gyökeres. Cunha and Sesko are also level with Gyökeres for non-penalty goals (6).Exactly. Gyokeres will end the season with 20+ goals. And whilst it’s not the 30-40 that Arsenal fans hoped for, it’s not in any way an awful return. I wonder how many Utd players will outscore Gyokeres. I’d guess about 8 or 10 players will outscore Delap.

4 United players who are either level with Gyökeres or outscoring him for non-penalty goals is pretty significant considering the vastly different expectations Arsenal and United had entering into this season.
You do have a point there - teams do sit deeper vs Arsenal than they do vs United. However, I wasn't the poster who first compared Gyökeres' goal record to United players as a marker of how well he's performing. Once that can of worms get opened, it's fair game.Gyokeres also has a lot less space to work in considering how low teams defend against us vs teams against United.
He has 5g/a in 6 games in the CL where he has a lot more space to operate in.
It's very hard to compare these things like for like.
I’m pretty sure Gyokeres would have scored here
Thought Delap looked a lot better than Gyokeres in his cameo. Gyokeres had several one on ones with Chelsea players that were just embarrassing. Every single one he just ran straight into them.Who won the battle between the two today then?
Delap looks like a Championship player, does Gyökeres?![]()

And Tottenham'sYeah, the way he tries to jink inside to open up a shot on his right foot is so cumbersome it’s genuinely cringey. Like watching someone who won a competition. But maybe it works against (some) Portugese centre backs?
