Hulk had a powerful shot. The 230km/h claim is wrong, though.

I remember that Steven Reid goal, though, that was a mental shot, but don't know whether it was only a one-off.

Peter Lorimer for sure. Bobby Charlton also had a great strike of a ball. I remember Passerella of Argentina thumping a free in from about 40 yards once. Shearer but I hate to give him credit for anything.

Batistuta could really hammer them. But the one that stands out the most for me was Branco, the Brazilian left back. I remember he knocked out a cameraman once with one of his shots.

Some of the older lads - Eusebio, Bobby Charlton or Puskas. Those old balls were not to hit with pace but they still managed thunderbolts.

Look at the way some of these absolutely fly past the keeper from Eusebio, not that typical of the era.

There must be something about left backs because David Peach (Saints) used to whack the ball!
Robert Jarni too, he was better than Roberto Carlos hammering the ball while both were around their peak (96/98).

Also Fred. If only they're on target.

Ronald Koeman immediately springs to mind. Boy he could hit them. Ridiculous scoring record as well for a non striker.

Does anyone remember that old Pro Evo where Adriano had a shot so hard that you could score from basically anywhere in the opponents half if you were facing the goal?

Definitely something going on with left backs...

Mihajlovic
Jarni
Riise
Van Bronckhorst
Albertz
Carlos
Kolarov

Then you got the likes of Hulk, Adriano, Batistuta, Seedorf, Zlatan, Podolski, Shearer, Scholes

And the ultimate blaster of a ball.....Antonio shin shatterer Valencia.

But...I think Hulk takes it for me.

Lukaku's first touch. HA HA!

Nah, but seriously. This particular goal deserves posting whenever possible:

I can say unequivocally and without any doubt that the person with the hardest shot ever was indisputedly and undeniably, the legendary.....Hot Shot Hamish

Stuart Pearce ?
Was at Utd v Forest game after penalty miss in world cup. The whole Stretford end was chanting..”Who missed in Italy.. Stuart Pearce. Stuart Pearce”

He smashed a free kick in from 25yds as the chant tailed off.
