He appears to be nailed on for Bayern. German media keep saying he has already agreed a transfer for next season, maybe even the current one.
Of course he is. The old Bayern hoovering up Bundesliga talent.

Denis Cheryshev has been great and I reckon he'd be pretty buyable. Maybe not the best performer but Pavard has certainly enhanced his reputation at this tournament and seems like quite a buyable player. Lozano is another good shout.

Rebic, Cheryshev, Pavard, Trippier, Golovin, pickford probably the main ones. Trippier plays for Spurs tbf and Pickford wont go anywhere, but their reputations have shot up for sure. The rest have been more or less the same players you would expect to shine.

That RB/RWB from Senegal. Sarr something. Was impressive.

Could even have been RM. He ran from deep though. Old fashioned RM.

Maguire... hands down for me.

Foundation of a team starts from the back. Every good team needs stable CB. Maguire has brought that confidence and calmness within the team. Playing from the back frees up the midfield, and mind you its not easy, not every CB has in him, and every top team in the world yearns for such player. He has been a huge success story of this world cup.

Unknown, not established, not a star, a humble kid, a joe nobody arrives at world cup finals and takes the tournament by storm. What a story! This is ladies and gentlemen...is English Maguire.

Bang for the buck it would probably be Schär, was good for Switzerland and you can get him on a 4M release clause, seems a nice deal for any mid-low table team.

If we talk about players that could cut it at elite level Maguire is a good shout, but his price might make him unattainable, I'd say Hirving Lozano, Pavard or Rebic. Banega would also be there, but we all know he'll be awful for 33% of his games next season wherever he ends at.

Would like us to sign Mario Fernándes, the Russian RB. He stood out in every match I saw.

Rebić, Cheryshev, Pavard, Trippier, Golovin. These are the names that answer your question. Pavard, Golovin and Rebić are 100 % going somewhere, Bayern and Juve heavily linked with some of them.

I feel the Levy tax only applies to PL clubs Manchester United.
Fixed.

Case in point: selling Kyle Walker for a measly £50 million to City, demanding close to £75 million for Alderweireld from us - probably even more now that he's a World Cup semi finalist.

Don’t think there’s anyone who stands out quite in the way James did.

But for me the players who come to mind are:

Pavard
Lozano
Trippier
Douglas Costa.

Why the hell Costa? He just signed for Juventus, didn’t play much at WC and hasn’t impressed at all when he played. I can’t see any reason to mention him in this thread.

What? He has been impressive every time he has come on as a substitute.

Definitely Pavard, though it would be difficult to compete with Bayern if they want him as well.

What about Yerry Mina. Defended pretty well, scored 3 goals and is still young so he can improve. Barcelona also wants to get rid of him dont they?

Well i have no idea what other team need or want. So i can only speak about MU. Given that we just bough a young Portuguese RB i simply don't see any potential deals for United. Maybe that Uruguayan LB, Laxat-something. But that's a stretch.

I have not seen any decent LB, winger options for us. None at all. Which is good even. You buy on EC, you are bound to be disappointing. Even Fergie could not buy shit after WC. We all remember Kleberson who was terrific at WC. Or who else? I feel like MU made another purchase based on WC showing and got hurt, but can'r remember the name.
Di Maria? I mean, he was good in the WC, but sensational in his last season at Real.

If Golovin is available for 30M it has to be him, right?

Oh really? tbh I'd never even heard of him before the WC
I hadn't either, but pretty sure that what one of the commentators said. Might have been their LB though, as I didn't know who he was either.

You’re right. Pavard is a Centre back playing out of position.

Šime Vrsaljko, the Croatian right-back, has looked pretty good, IMO. I think he should play more frequently for Atletico next season or may even seek pastures new. He’s a big loss for Croatia ahead of the semi-final. England's great luck in this tournament continues!

Is it just me who doesn’t get the hype surrounding Pavard? I think he’s looked quite shaky at times, especially when isolated 1v1 against specialist wingers. He should’ve been sent off against Argentina, such was the tizzy Di Maria and co. sent him in.

Golovin would be a really good shout.

I'd say Trippier, but I'm not sure I'd class him as completely 'buyable'. Mainly in the sense that Spurs would be very reluctant to sell after losing Walker last Summer and if they did sell, he'd probably go for close to what Walker did!

Harry Maguire as well. If he continues to play as he has done, a bigger team will take the punt on him, but it'll be a Premier League side. Probably one of Arsenal/Liverpool/Chelsea/Spurs.

Man Utd bought Karel Poborsky after Euro '96 and he turned out to be a disappointment. Then again, Rooney was bought after Euro '04 and we all know how that turned out. I guess he was a known quantity though, playing in the Premier League and all.

Victor Lindelöf did very well for Sweden, played better and better and was Sweden’s best player in the end. He would be highly purchaseable nefore the WC according to most here, but probably less so now.

He would probably fit very well with Maguire, though.

He really wasn’t.

Kept running down blind alleys, was very one footed and did precisely feck all when he came on.

That said, he was better than Willian so maybe that’s tainting the praise.
