It's a no brainier that we need to replace this guy. Zero goal & zero assist in the league for the entire year and it's not like the manager hadn't given him chance, manager had given him plenty. Even his cup game stats is still very bad. Replacing this guy is more priority than worry about Fred/McTominay & Pogba now as these three still offer something while Lingard offers nothing.

Grealish will be my no 1 choice to replace him as he is the quality realistic option out there & we must act now even if we only get him in the summer but if we can take a lead of signing him before other big clubs try to take him later that should accelerate the process which save more time for Ed himself.

The term „replace“ would imply that he is or was an integral part of our first team.
I really don’t care if he stays or goes but he should never be a starter and for important games be nowhere near the bench either.
As long as such a below par footballer gets so many minutes on the pitch you know that you are far behind the standards you should be.

A supposed 'creative' player who produce zero assists and goals shouldn't have any place in top level football let alone Manchester United. This guy should be playing in the Championship at this point.

Angel Gomes. If he got the same number or half the number of games lingard got in that position he would have been surely winning games for us.

A lampost could probably replace Lingard and we would notice a considerable improvement.

Maddison, but not until the summer.
Nail on head. Add him and true top centre mid and we’re in business. I’m starting to think left back is more important than right wing as the other target.

Leicester get top 4, and we finish 8th, and still look like the lost soul that we have become, will Maddison really want to come? And if he does how much will it take, and how long will Leicester drag it out for, after all we only do 'one transfer at a time'.

It's a nice plan, but the reality will be very different, and more to the point we need someone right now.

Should've been done after pre-season, where he was miles better than Lingard. Wasted here.

Ziyech would be good for that role, can cover RW as well.

Also, if all it is for our team in that role is to press we may as well put Dan James in there and have Greenwood start RW.

Maddison would be declared deadwood within 6 months of signing.
Yeah but honestly having been on this forum a little while there is a large and very vocal group spouting all sorts of nonsense who aren’t worth listening to at all. Maddison is clearly an excellent young player who would fit into this team well.
