How shit must leeds be if they're getting relegated ? Considering we've hit rock bottom in the shitter and we're still a dozen spots above them, imagine how much more shit we'd have to be to get where leeds are
Comparing ourselves with Leeds must be as low as we can get. You might want to check the background on both clubs 1st

Leeds having Brighton and Brentford who are both on holiday in the last 2 games is good for their chances. I think Burnley go
Yes but Villa and Newcastle will be on holiday as well, so Burnley could maybe beat them both. And who knows, they could be tricky for Spurs as well. It's hard to tell really.

We just need to win one and hope Leeds lose one and we are safe. That should be good motivation. Palace and Brentford are both home games so hopefully the fans will be behind us massively. Was turtleheading a bit before but now my cheeks are just a bit clenched.

Even one point should see us safe if Leeds lose as they're not overturning that GD.

From what I saw last night, Leeds are doomed. They looked hopeless and have now lost James, Dallas and Ayling from an already small squad.

Everton fans seem to have developed a fantastic relationship with Lampard. If there's one thing he's great at, it's understanding the club and community he is representing and embracing the culture of the club. I really hope you stay up and then have a great season next season minus the 6 points of course.

Yeah, I think if there is one thing that Lampard has over all of the new wave ex player-managers is that he 'gets' it when it comes to history/club culture.

Would normally feel like Leeds have a win in them but they’re absolutely shocking. I suppose that’s what’s happens when they’re so used to being pushed by a manager like Bielsa to work hard, then the gas is off the pedal. Half of their game was pressing hard and they don’t even have that anymore. They’re fecked.

I reckon it will go to the wire but Burnley might stay up by beating the Barcodes on the last day.

Problem with Lampard as a manager however is how he allows his teams to be countered so much. On one hand he beats Utd and Chelsea and takes the Dippers and City into deep water and really should've got points off them too, but got fecked by VAR. Then the next minute he is getting ripped on the counter by fecking Burnley and Tottenham (ok, Tottenham have a better squad, but you know exactly how they're setting up with Conte and their front line.)

That might just be the nature of their squad. Many limited teams are better playing a reactive game, and that's generally how they've got results, being a little more stable defensively rather than creating big gaps. With average players you get exposed otherwise. When they've gone brave they've been ripped apart, it has been about going back to basics which is what all relegation firefighters would say.

The problem at the start was probably that Frank Lampard was used to winning as a player and even as a coach he has had some good sides. A piss poor Everton side was a different challenge, but there's some evidence he's got to grips with it.

I think you have to step back and remember that he’s still early not only with his own managerial career but also with a side that was terribly low on confidence, morale and quality. I still think we are short of quality but he has galvanised the side with the help of the fans. I think he has shown he has some tactical nous in other games before and after the Tottenham/Burnley results but I don’t disagree that he can be very naive at times too. He seems like the type of guy that can evolve (or I hope he can at least) so I think if we do stay up I wouldn’t mind sticking with him to see what he can do.

Leeds. Their fans are keeping the ball in games they're losing:

Big goal for Leeds

Still fancy Burnley to beat Newcastle at home on the final day which means Leeds will have to beat Brentford away

Would rather Leeds be in the premier league than boring Burnley tbf! Those heated derbies are unbelievable and I missed them when they were gone!

Burnley - 34 pts, -18 - at Villa, vs Newcastle (two matches in three days)
Everton - 36 pts, -19 - vs Brentford (today), vs Palace, at Arsenal (two matches in three days)
Leeds - 35 pts, -38 - at Brentford

Can't see Burnley or Everton gaining max points from that list, and Everton must get something in their next two matches as they'll likely lose at Arsenal. Leeds might snatch a draw at Brentford.

Reckon it will be on goal difference that decides it. In which case it will be Leeds.

I still think there’s a good chance Burnley don’t get another point. Villa at home isn’t a gimme and Newcastle, even if they have nothing to play for, will be tough with how they’re going.

Everton got shafted today, but they should have enough to secure safety. A draw might even do it as there little to no chance Burnley wins both their remaining games.

Nice legacy for Bielsa considering they haven't been thrashed that much under Marsch. Feels written Leeds will go down on GD.

It’ll be Burnley.
Be hilarious if either of the other 2 went down, but the league is probably better for them being in it

Well our recent form suggests we’re certainly down there with them plus they bought Daniel James from us.

No league is better for Leeds being in it.

Actually, football itself isn't better for Leeds being in it.

Only 2 points behind with a better goal difference. Don't think Burnley need six points to catch them.

Burnley will still be looking at catching Leeds rather than Everton.

Simple formula is Leeds lose to Brentford and Burnley grind out a draw at home to Newcastle, Leeds go down.

Given how Brentford played today they certainly won't be on the beach next weekend and win could well get them a top 10 finish which will cap off a brilliant season for them.

Probably going to be Leeds, but want Everton to go down or Burnley, sick of seeing Burnley. Think Everton might lost there remaining 2 games but think they’ll stay up because Leeds will lose there final 2 games also. Can see Burnley staying up.

I confused their GD with Leeds' tbh. You're right. Also I incorrectly thought Everton were playing GW37 today. They still have 2 games remaining. They really, really need to beat Palace. Can't afford to go away to Arsenal needing 3 points. That would be a disastrous situation.

Yeah, it's not looking good for Everton.

It'll be Leeds, though Burnley is my vote for preference. Leeds is a good rival hammering for us every year.
