Always like the idea of a country winning it for the first time. Unlikely this time I reckon, but I wonder who has the best chance of upsetting the existing winners. Belgium perhaps? Can only imagine the scenes if Denmark won it, with Eriksen lifting the trophy.

Netherlands so. They're well overdue their first one.

Between Brazil and Argentina. I'd lean towards Brazil just because they've got a crazy amount of strength in depth.

I'm now firmly behind Argentina. That would be perfect - Ronaldo watching Messi lift the cup.

Argentina squad doesn't look that impressive, maybe I don't watch that much football these days but I don't know many of those names. Will Messi be able to play each game 90'?

Brazil would be my pick.

Havent a clue given I dont watch international footy outside of the tournaments. France have the most ability but we have to see how they cope without Kante and Pogba. Germany and Spain could do well as they generally have a solid style of play. But it's quite an open looking WC. England might go far too.

Their squad isn't that impressive. But they've been making up for as a team. I think they could probably reach the Quarters or Semis before losing to a team with more genuine quality

I'd say Argentina have become the fan favourites now because of that Ronaldo interview. I'm certainly leaning towards them now.

Yeah this is also why I went for Italy in previous tournament. But Brazil is having some good results as well, although Argentina defensive record is impressive.

So the majority of people think a South American team will win it. Interesting…

I’ll take France. I can’t believe the defending champs who have Benzema and Mbappe are all the way down at 4.5% in this poll.

Usually the trophy is won by the team with most disciplined, mentally strong, highly experienced players with inclusion of couple world stats.

Brazil
Alisson, Thiago Silva, Marquinhos, Casemiro, Neymar. Lots of quality and strong characters.

Argentinian team is sort of fired up for Messi. Wonder if that will work to their advantage. May as well backfire by resulting in some unnecessary red cards.

Brazil too reliant on Neymar to be successful. If they played a team oriented game and let him play more of a role I think they'd be better. They should try to avoid playing through him.

Argentina, Messi is going to have a great World Cup.

Other choices would be Brazil, Spain, France or Germany.
