As I see things, it's very divided.
One part of the United fans are fed up with the play on the pitch. No one wants to lose, but all teams lose and have poor periods during a season. But United have this way to often, and the football being played is "headless" and without character and no "style of play". They have lost faith in Ole or "the Norwegian PE-teacher" as some call him, as the man to take United the last step to really form a title charge in PL and CL.
The other part are being provoked by this, and in return really back the manager. "United is not a sacking club" and "support the team/players/manager as long as they are at the club" is the motto going. And they want to applaud the team and manager no matter what the results and play say on pitch.. And they are quick to show criticism towards the so called internet reds, and believe they know much more about football because they go to matches. (if they actually do go regularly I don't know).
The internet and social media surely has benefits, but the atmosphere around United are toxic. I have to admit that at times I just scroll past all United related news and posts, because both sides are so ready for war and believe what they say is the truth. It's actually horrible to witness.
My point of view doesn't really matter in this case. Just trying to explain how fed up I am with both sides of the United fans. And hey, could we please stop this "true red" and "proper red" bollocks. All fans can have their opinion, no matter how often they go to matches. We can't all live in and around Manchester.
