Why did we phase out or sell X player?

You're the one that mentioned 1%, Chicharito was 'found out' and allowed to leave because he didn't want to be a substitute.
It was from Hernandez interview, where he said that.

So what's your problem? SAF said of Mark Robins(who if you believe some in the press saved his job with his goal verses Forest)was a great finisher, but 90% of his game isn't good enough to play for United, harsh but players prefer to know where they stand.
Do you even know what you are arguing?

You said Hernandez left because he didn't want to be a substitute, which was wrong going by Hernandez interview, he left as Van Gaal said there is 1% chance of him playing.

He wasn’t ’found out’, just criminally underrated by our dinosaur manager at the time. Comical that Van Gaal thought Hernandez couldn’t get a foot in among our crocked and ageing attackers in 2014-2015. The same season Real Madrid were more than happy to give him 23 games.

Chicharito has the 5th best minutes per goal ratio in Premier League history. Yeah he pretty much only contributed goals, but that still says something.

I'm only going off his interview on Sky where he said he wasn't prepared to stay at United if he was only going to be a substitute which would have been his status whoever the Manager was, but if you want to blame it on Lvg fill yer boots.

And later he said what manager told him, which was the reason for him to leave.

Yes found out, SAF played him less and less as a starter because the lad couldn't stay onside and when he could his link-up player was none existent, he did well in Germany @ Bayer Neverkusen because they set-up their team to get the best out of him, something that United wouldn't do or shouldn't do, and he did well briefly at Madrid because they play different offside rules to the rest of the world.

His goal ratio is good, he's probably the best super-sub out there, but never good enough to be a starter at a top level club.

Never said he should be a starter. I think he would have been an excellent sub/squad player when we had a frontline full of geriatrics. But Van Gaal dismissed that possibility with his 1% snub.

Stam, Anderson, Rafael, Herrera, Evans and Saha were all players I felt we let go too early.

Four of them because I felt they still had lots to offer in a United shirt and Anderson because I loved that chubby gobshite like a son.

Rafael. He would've been a better option than Young or Darmian these past 2 years. Plus I always got the feeling that he cared about the club when he was here. We could've done with some of his passion last season when so many players were downing tools.

Not sure if it’s been mentioned. But RVN, Beckham, and Heinze were also pushed out of the club by SAF, although younger people might think we lost them to Real. That’s not the case. None of these players wanted to leave.

RVN.. tactical reasons. Great goal scorer, but our game became too reliant on and around him. Against top 4 teams, or in CL QF/SF stage all clubs had to was mark him out the game and we’d pose no other threat.

Beckham = probably a mix of brand Beckham but also look at the winger SAF wanted to replace him with, or did replace him with,Ronaldinho and Ronaldo.

Heinze we signed Evra while he was injured, and he couldn’t get back into the team. Initially wanted to move to Liverpool over Real, just shows how 1) Real were not always everyone dream club and 2) their initial Galaticos project in early 2000s required them smashing football wages record for players to join them

isn't it a coincidence that stam was eased out shortly before the drug ban.

Fergie is definitely not daft

Saw Ander Herrera sign for PSG, makes my heart sore, he was such a good professional for us, could have really been a team player for us. Really can't understand how they messed up getting him a new contract.

It's weird how Woodward was willing to go against Mourinho's wishes to sell (and buy) certain players but gave Van Gaal free reign to flog (and buy) whoever he didn't want and was willing to sell them all dirt cheap but is stubborn to let the likes of Darmian and Rojo go without a fair price?
